A world war one poster saying Americans All and giving a list of names associated with different ethnicities (Du Bois, Smith, O'Brien, Cejka, etc, representing Black, Anglo, Irish, Polish...)

Professor Diaz forgive me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure someone wrote an English-language ad ("Draw the S for less") and ordered it translated into Spanish with no regard for rhyme. This got to me sufficiently that I made my own ("draw the Ss and don't stress").
A Spanish-language ad for a drawing tablet saying "Dibuja la S por menos." This is likely a translation of the English phrase "Draw the S for less" (the S being a common S-shaped pattern drawn by kids), but in translation the rhyme is lost.My fixed version of the "Dibuja la S por menos" ad. Now it says "Dibuja las eses y no te estreses," which rhymes and means "Draw the Ss and don't stress." The tablet is now shown with more than one S pattern drawn on it, since "las eses" is plural.

I am a New Yorker and this is dead right. Vote for the Lander-Mamdani cross-endorsed team and don't rank Cuomo at all.

Giving ChatGPT a chance to rearrange one of my old comics from one-column to two-column. The result is not accurate, but still funny.
A chemistry joke in a one-column format. The superhero Ideal Gas Man starts out as big as a skyscraper, but ends up being the size of a toddler, because being a superhero means a lot of pressure. The same comic strip rearranged into a two-column format by ChatGPT. Text and panels are mixed up in a jumble. The punchline is moved to the second-to-last panel, with the final panel just saying "Guys."

Your guess is right, the paper says it's not statistically significant over a plain linear regression.
The data is "presented as a segmental regression despite not being statistically significant" compared to a linear regression. The conclusion, 1.6 g/kg/day of protein, depends on where you put the break between the not-statistically-significant line segments.

"The price elasticity of import demand, ε, was set at 4."

Yes, that's correct, this is a new chat with Claude 3.7 Sonnet.
Claude LLM artifact showing the error message `An error occurred while trying to run the generated artifact. Unexpected token, expected ";" (4:24)`. Claude was unable to fix the error.

From my old webcomic, back when I was a chemical engineering student:
A chemical engineer wakes up and runs to Wonka's candy factory, fearing that the calculations were wrong and the chocolate unit may explode. However, Wonka assures him that it will be all right because of fudge factors.

Just finished up the 2024 AICHE Battery and Energy Storage Conference at NYU. The talks and posters were eye-opening, especially about battery safety research. My own talk demonstrated prediction of battery properties from ML models trained only on small quantum calculations (no experiments).
Comparison of QRNN diffusivity to experiments and OPLS4. The QRNN model can predict the diffusivity of every component in the electrolyte mixture, across a range of temperatures.
