Thank you so much for the amazing work!!! It was a lot of fun going through the designs with you, and I love how it turned out but also I just really love how each step of the process had me loving what I was seeing even more. You nailed it from start to finish 🥰

That's extremely relatable, and I know it can be difficult to wrangle with cause it doesn't just go away... sometimes it gets quiet just as sometimes it gets loud. I look up to you in quite a few ways, and I respect and appreciate the work I've seen you put in.

To add onto this, with how free the expeditions are now if you have spare expeditions left you can effectively level up generics through any class you want and use them to farm overflow JP on main units if you want to avoid overleveling/lvling in jobs that aren't the best for what your build plan

I have gone through the hell of re-setting up my PC and whew, immediately making a backup image so I don't have to go through that again lmao. I fell out of the habit of regularly imaging a few years ago but never again!

The longer a game stays in EA without a clear roadmap, the more perceptions can get warped by consumers and devs alike. Expectation management should be done case-by-case for each game, but consumers don't usually engage with that well on their own...

010

Alk @alklaine.live · 13/08/2025

People see EA as very different things, devs use it as very different things. Expectations clash (time being a big one), especially since the consumers who purchase to stick around for/contribute to long EA periods are usually not the same consumers marketed towards broadly on release. (cont)

010

Alk @alklaine.live · 07/08/2025

I have Tuesday and Thursday available next week, but I can also do times on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays regularly if I have some heads up. Does Tue or Wed next week work?

Alk @alklaine.live · 07/08/2025

Yooo, I've never played Deeprock Galactic but I've been told I would love it! Have you played before? Would be so down to try it. We could also play just about anything on your list but eyeing cleanup sims, TTS, and Truck Sim to narrow it down.

She's been asking me all sorts of questions, borrowing materials, and honestly, seeing that excitement just fills me with so much energy! It's so contagious and reignites my love of this kind of medium.

000

Alk @alklaine.live · 01/08/2025

It warms my heart to see new players or DMs because of it! I've since been at the table for 4 longtime DMs who first played at my table, and I'm going to play in another's first ever session soon! I'm really proud of her and excited for it.

110

Alk @alklaine.live · 01/08/2025

I've run different games and different styles since then and learned so much of what does and doesn't work, and the kinds of players that best fit at my table. I can run sessions for new players and introduce them to my style at its best, while keeping things new and interesting for my older players

110

Alk @alklaine.live · 01/08/2025

I've been DMing for years and have experienced many of the highs and lows of creativity and excitement. My favorite thing is a session 1 that I ran years ago that basically summed up "my brand" of session among my players and friends. I love that it's still loved by them.

140

Alk @alklaine.live · 24/07/2025

Yeah, just got to see the response GEEGA made and damn, it's just so sad. Their entire premise up in flames *years* ago to cover costs while taking on new talent and hurting them. That's just so messed up.

010

Alk @alklaine.live · 24/07/2025

This VShojo thing is killing me. They admit to taking money they "didn't know was for charity" but if I understand, that was all earned through subs from Mouse's subathon which would have been her income anyways??? And not something they should have touched ever as business money??

An illustration of a Viera woman from FFXIV. This one is Alk's warrior of light. She has brown hair with orange tips. Long strands fall on the sides of her face and lay on her shoulder, while the hair in the back is tied in a ponytail. There's a feather in her hair and her ears have two small purple crystal earrings. Her skin is tan and freckled with green stripes on her cheeks. Her eyes are a bright turquoise. Shes wearing a white dress with gold embellishments and metallic arm bands. Shes smirking down towards the camera with her large sword grasped in one gloved hand over her shoulder. The sword is mostly obstructed by her body, but the parts that show are white and gold.

Yessssss, I bounced off it cause I just didn't really vibe with it as a kid but coming back to it years later made Lightning and the crew some of my legit favorites 🥰

000

Alk @alklaine.live · 09/06/2025

I think it's also a good idea to compare prices relatively. Even if people argue gaming is cheaper than many hobbies, a ~30% increase in price is going to be noticeable ($60->$80), and it's going to suck for those that were struggling to afford it, or those impacted worse by import taxes/conversions

000

Alk @alklaine.live · 14/05/2025

Mm, I understand the fear. Remember that love is freely given and is not based on a transaction. To have love and care given to you is just that, with a touch of trust added on. Show your love and care in your own way to those you feel you should and it will all work out I think 💖

The later games are fun! As a kid, Pikmin 1's timer was just too much for me lol

000

Alk @alklaine.live · 31/03/2025

Skyrim was just not the vibe, and I enjoy modding it more than playing it. MGS has some sick music and I like watching some videos about the game, but don't particularly enjoy playing it. Pikmin 1 the timer scared me too much as a kid to enjoy it 😅 I was so stressed

WotL - I know not many people see WotL as realistic dialogue but I always read it kind of like a drama or stage play and I really enjoy it for that reason. Especially with the isometric view in most of the scenes, it just gives a view like I'm watching from the audience.
