I included the amulet she gives to Yawgmoth to summon her as well. I designed that as an adornment on her forehead, to symbolically represent the vulnerability she has in giving it to him and trusting him. It sits in the very place that he wounds her in his brutal betrayal later in the book.

She holds in her hands a powerstone and the schematic of Glacian's breakthrough in the present moment. Inspired by the way a crumpled piece of paper can hold more rain, he determined the nature of the multiverse as being a world of energy folded in upon itself within the stone.

On the drafting table is Glacian's past - his previous schematics of the now mundane items of the Thran. Sedan cars, weaponry, and the schematic for the four stone illusory torc in the story. Paper takes up space on his drafting chair, now in disuse as he is confined to his mobility chair.

Thank you! The rusted Norlanders are the ones that embraced the destructive force of the Rusting, so I wanted her and the things associated with her to stand apart from the natural environment they now go against, while also being evolved from being part of that world in the past.

Thankfully they didn't have shark breasts in mind, there were none in the style guide we worked from. ;) It was really just about body shapes and the ratios of shoulder/waist/hip or how lithe or stocky forms were.
