Look, I love the drama of a big hat + sunglasses hat as much as the next Leo, but 43c is too hot. Just grateful the school run was done before we hit the peak of 45c.

I'm in this photo and I don't like it. #writingcommunity

Side by side pictures of a five-year-old girl. In the left one, she is smiling and has a pen in her hand. The caption reads "Designing and outlining your story." In the right one, she is crying and coloring despondently. The caption reads "Actually writing the prose."

🦘🐨Fun Australian fact 🐨🦘 We call bikers- like motor cycle club gang bikers - bikies. Pronounced bai-keez, not bi-keez (short for biscuits). It was only after sharing this with flabbergasted American friends that I realised how ridiculous it sounds.

Started the first draft of the first book in a series today. Well actually I’ve started in every day for the past few days, but keep scrapping it. 🎉🎉🎉I have finally cracked the code.🎉🎉🎉 Extremely excited to get into this one. In the immortal words of Redfoo - let’s get ridiculous

ThistleArts has been incredibly active, if you don’t follow them already. I have been trying to find artists to follow too 👀👀👀

Going into my author groups and seeing the serious writers there is so motivating 💜 because they start talking about all this high level business stuff, and using acronyms and I’m like, “yeah, I’m just gonna go write about supernatural beings kissing in the woods…” Amazing for the word count.

My most painful stat was I said goodbye to the 651 day streak of reading on my kindle app (still on 142 weeks tho lol).

Being in Australia, I would never know that it was late at night when you sent the ADHD goodness email and reply before the coffee and ADHD meds kicked in, perpetuating the cycle 🥳

The internet has been stressing me the fuck out lately, so I took some time out to finger paint with the kids. 10/10 recommend

In this janky, totally messed up, monopolised, corporatised hellscape that is the modern internet, I cannot tell you how much I miss forums. They were the shit. Anyway - hi Bluesky. How you doin’?
