I’ve always been intrigued by this duality—often pro-lifers are pro death penalty and pro-choice are anti death penalty.

No, no…the only man who can have a mustache is Tom Selleck. That’s it.

Oh, how I miss storytime. I wouldn’t give up those memories for anything.

Foam parties were a thing where? This I do not recall.

Mmm, sort of agree. I started with the cheapest EV model (Bolt) and then went up two price points until I didn’t feel like I was in a tin can. I wanted a smaller vehicle, but I was downsizing from a minivan, so the difference was jarring. Still would like to see smaller max sizes in vehicles overall

Pharmaceuticals may be a better if imperfect analogy. Maybe there’s a drug or class of drugs that are harmful but that info was withheld. Damages should be available to those harmed. That’s not the same as trying to control the pharmaceutical industry or even calling for a ban.

I consider it more of a free market move. Like, you want to sell candy and soda? Fine, but you can’t say lie about ingredients and health benefits. The dang oil market had years to say yeah, our product has problems but it keeps the world moving and we’ll figure out a transition together, but nope.

I should say that’s not regulating emissions.

Alison’s Aim Is True @alisonspeaks.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Respectfully disagree. Both because I need to have faith in a positive outcome (I don’t), but also because the “you can’t lie about your product” tort is a totally viable claim. That is not regulating the fossil fuel industry.

It probably varies regionally is my guess. I rented from one of the biggies, can’t remember which company, but there were many EVs to choose from in the shared lot at Sky Harbor.

Alison’s Aim Is True @alisonspeaks.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

That’s weird. Where was that? I was surprised the last time I rented a car in Phoenix at how many EVs they had.

Nothing in that article was specific to EVs.

I think UConn Law rented a bounce house when I was there. It does, however, have a community garden for garden-sports enthusiasts.

As a Kia EV driver, I am in full eco mode. No maniac driving here. Northeast, it seems to be more of a family car.

But why was it separated from other courses to begin with? What’s the thinking? Writing is too mundane compared with loftier legal concepts kind of stuff?

After successfully suing DuPont, Robert Bilott and others filed suit against multiple PFAS manufacturers on behalf of everyone in the U.S. with PFAS in their blood (which is pretty much everyone), but the court dismissed it.

It’s not even partisanship. The Constitution contains far more negative rights (freedom from government interfering with something) than positive rights (right to something the government provides). It’s highly problematic with something like clean water, which seems like an obvious right.
