Very excited that our review paper in Nature Reviews Psychology is out now!! In it, we talk about how the integration of HiTOP and Computational Psychiatry can advance clinical science

FYI #SRP2026 if you haven't booked restaurant reservations do it NOW. They weren't kidding about the football weekend issue– Getting a dinner for 6 booked for Friday was an extreme sport. @srpsychopathology.bsky.social

I am recruiting a PhD student in Entomology to begin in January 2027. The selected student will study scale insect biological control in urban trees. See the attached flyer for details. My lab website describes the type of research we do: caleb-j-wilson.com

Paper out in Psychological Medicine: does methylphenidate shift how adults with ADHD weigh costs against benefits? 61 adults with ADHD (tested on and off MPH, double-blind, placebo-controlled) and 63 controls did a cost-benefit choice task, analysed with the drift diffusion model.

@sophiepaolizzi.bsky.social showed how to use Q-leaning models for a reversal learning task. Nate Hall presented about hierarchical Bayesian learning and simulated data on perceived social volatility in BPD. Tim Allen demonstrated using computational models for theory building @nasspd.bsky.social

@alisonmarie.bsky.social chaired tutorials on studying neurocomputational mechanisms of personality disorders. She walked through using hierarchical drift diffusion models (HDDM) to find aberrant evidence accumulation explaining struggles in social decision making in BPD. @nasspd.bsky.social

The illegal cut of NIH indirect costs will mean at least $115M cut to University of Pittsburgh @fetterman.senate.gov @davemccormick.bsky.social. This means huge loss of middle and working class jobs and research trials for breakthrough treatments for residents of Pennsylvania, Ohio, & West Virginia

We just published a new paper on the regeneration of white and green ash in forests that have been invaded by EBA for 15-20 years. The good news is that white ash is still regenerating, but large trees continue to die at high rates. Full paper is available here: authors.elsevier.com/a/1kXsv1L%7E...

In Philly for #ABCT and wondering if any locals have a rec for a *vegan* Philly cheesesteak... I have heard through the grapevine it's a thing, and it seems like a meal to prioritize while I'm in town 🙃

I am *over the moon* excited to be joining University of Kentucky as an Assistant Professor in the Dept of Psychiatry this fall! My research will investigate the neural substrates of affective and social decision-making in PDs. 🎉 to donning a new sports cap and becoming a wildcat!
