It seems appropriate that the Prismari portrait is my first attempt at painting on the back of an #artistproof. I had to keep telling myself I did not ruin it, it's just the ugly phase, trust the process 😂

I think you have the wrong person. I didn't write this.

Favorite of the Strixhaven dragons, or just the dragons I've posted so far?

Silumgar on the back of a foil adult Dragonlord Silumgar AP. The backside is also foil which makes drawing and photographing difficult. I've brightened the image so the sketch is a bit easier to see.

Sketch of Dragonlord Silumgar on the back of an artist proof. The surface of the card has a slight rainbow tint due to the foil surface. The tusked dragon is sitting on a pile of treasure and is wearing jewelry

He is surprisingly difficult to draw, but I'm glad he's recognizable even without color.

I'm a little behind on posting, but I'll be making dragon art for Smaugust this year.

For #smaugust this year, I think I'll work on AP sketches. They'll start in pencil, but I'm hoping I'll come back to them later and color them at some point. Anyway, here's a sketch of Niv-Mizzet on the back of a hellkite AP

Finished Mercy portrait! I am a bit slow with painting so I'd say overall it was about 6 to 7 hours. #AgeOfUmbra #CriticalRole

Today I’m sharing a few cat works that have been especially popular. Each one shows a different movement and personality, brought to life through simple lines. Some of these works are planned to become art prints and will be released in 3 days. Shop link in bio😊. #shouxinsketch #animalart

I think composition tends to be an invisible skill layer. Controlling the eye with shape, value and detail and knowing what tools are available to you and how to wield them effectively can make otherwise decent things feel incredible.
