I really loved this, it's beautiful, shows you what it looks like to love and have faith in other people

I think maybe everyone should watch Gamak Ghar, I say this because I wish I could revisit this movie. It's what my life looked like, a tiny bit, before we immigrated. This movie feels like home I love it so much. filmdaze.net/achal-mishra...

Achal Mishra’s debut ‘The Village House’ is a visual masterpiece

The astonishing debut by an Indian filmmaker is richly rendered, deeply personal, and feels like home.

I think a lot about Nick Broomfield's documentary on Aileen Wuornos and how cruel it is. He got her to talk to him because he promised to help her but really and of course he didn't and couldn't. He lied. There's this one bit where he goes to see her and her face lights up with hope: maybe good news

In case it was unclear, suggesting that anyone with a disability needs gen AI to do amazing art is, in and of itself, incredibly ableist. Do not spit on those who have found innumerable ways of making art without stealing from others and polluting the planet. It is disgusting to suggest as much.

I'm probably just angry today but I'm so confused as to why you would want to make a movie arguing "actually Dostoevsky was stupid and his wife wrote all his books" like if you wanted to make a movie about Colette you could've just made a movie about Colette this is just the wrong movie to make!!!

watched "all that she wants" tonight and I'm just wondering if movies know that having the only people of colour on screen play "the other women" is actually more racist than maybe not having them there at all
