Hey, hi, hello. It has been too long since I posted here. I'll just cut straight to it... I am no longer working on SCORNED as a graphic novel. A lot of things have changed in my life. Work, school, I moved, etc. Due to time management, and concern over being able to tell this story properly (1/3)

I have a D&D campaign that I'm going to run, and I made "wanted posters" for their character art since they're all going to start off in prison. (two more portraits below!)

I feel like I've gone through a bit of an art block and I think that's because I feel a bit overwhelmed by the edits I need to do for SCORNED's first book. Luckily I have tomorrow and Sunday off, so I'll be trying to dive back into editing and comic making!

I've finally completed the first volume of my comic in December, so now my goal is to focus on doing some editing for a kickstarter to bring it to print and of course, get started on the beginning of volume two! And maybe finally update the mirror sites for my comic lol

the log for chapter two for the edits for print. It's basically done, I just need to redraw four pages. Which... will probably take longer than I'd like lmao

I'm sorry for my silence! If I'm not working on kickstarter edits then I'm at my day job! D: Here's a little sneak peek to some edits! Font has changed, added darker make-up to Hel's look, etc. I can't wait to finish the book so I can purchase a physical copy for myself and check for physical edits!

did some test prints before i leave for family christmas this arvo

five a3 linocut prints of jude and taryn duarte, from the folk of the air series, arranged similarly to a queen suit. jude is the queen of spades and taryn the queen of hearts. the print quality is variable with an obvious handmade texture

a closeup of print 3/5, showing the print in more detail.

I'm halfway through ch.2's edits for the kickstarter, which is good. I am moving faster than I thought. Though there's always a big chance that the sizing isn't 100% accurate, so I'll be reviewing it down the line because I know I can fix that for sure, my main goal is getting other things fixed.

alisbeth vale @alisbethvale.bsky.social · 22/12/2024

This afternoon so far has included me saying "Duplicate this layer, because I don't trust myself" a bunch of times over and over as I work on comic book edits for printing. THOUGH I SHOULD TAKE A BREAK TO MAYBE WRITE CHAPTER FIVE OF SCORNED PROPERLY.

A new log has been made so I can keep track of the edits that need to be done within SCORNED. I'm not going to go too crazy with art work edits besides fixing shadings here and there, Annie's hair/eye color and the basic necessities.

For those who have printed out their webcomics... When you do book one and let's say book one is ch1 to ch6, would book two go back to being ch1 to wherever it ends? Or do you continue at ch7 and onwards?
