🟠 innocence lost

Description:
This illustration pertains to much of Boris' character in general. His succumb to hopelessness, seeking power instead of love, losing his innocence and his whimsy.
The frail butterfly symbolizes what remains of his inner child (this is also why Boris likes Aiden, who i also associated with butterflies, because he subconsciously reminds Bo of who he used to be) and the crows are the jaded violence he has been taught to use to feel less small. By habit, they seek to destroy any traces of incorruption - because what if it makes him the weak one again?

Oh dear god don't even get me started on when I ask for a human, and they say "totally! can you just confirm x?" So I confirm x, and they send me an automated answer, and absolutely put me in the maze of "restart the robot menu you are NOT reaching a human" and it makes me feel insane

Thank you stranger. I'm spending a little time making sure we're the right home for him to endure this under. I will say we do have the peace of mind of, after some trial and error, finding a wonderful new vet for him. He's been through a lot and we're trying to mitigate the troubles for him :)

Developed a new bit with my parents’ dog. When I can’t see her in my immediate vicinity and I need her for something I say to myself “where’s my Ruby? 🤔” and then wait to hear her scampering through the house to me. Then when she arrives I say “there she is!” and she gets excited and bounces around

My parents were wrong about most things But I think the funniest thing they were right about I pushed back against is "only wear comfortable shoes for trick or treating" It has been like 18+ years and I've got nerve damage and a fat scar on my toes from my dress shoes chaffing

on top of trying to do similar with the wife, I've had to focus on how I handle like the stress of perfectionism/not doing things "good enough?" I started saying good job to myself for doing something at all, not doing it WELL. Helped me get the energy to slowly repair things in my life
