"Well, Edge is right outside of Midgar," Alina proposed as a suggestion, "Maybe we could get somewhere right on the border so you can still access the business in Midgar." She did however consider Nick's feelings, "If you're set in staying in the Main Sectors of Midgar though, maybe we could -

Once Reno had parked up, Alina unbuckled her seat belt, and then carried some of the food out with her as she exited the car. The smell was tantalising as it hit her nose. It was still hot. "Let's get inside and chow down," Alina suggested, "Then maybe we could decide on dessert."

When Alina got home later that afternoon after picking Addy up from playgroup, she could sense a shift in the air. "Les?" She called out, and then out Addy on the couch to watch cartoons, "Leslie?" The crackle in the air was electric. A buzz she hadn't felt since she had Addy and the restaurant -

110

Alina Devée ❀*⋅ꪶ (Slow Return) @alinadevee.bsky.social · 26/10/2025

"Oh I did more than that," she snarled a little, obviously burning with anger in her blood, "I tossed his ass right out of the place when he called me a 'henchman wife' and then said, and I quote, 'be a good little woman and get back to your own kitchen', and then patted my ass!"

Taking her plateful gratefully as she sat at the table, she delicately set the meal down in front of her. "Well it smells divine," Alina smiled happily, "You always did have a knack for pasta dishes. I recall one time I made you some Mac and Cheese. You said it was so good you asked for seconds."

Alina Devée ❀*⋅ꪶ (Slow Return) @alinadevee.bsky.social · 26/10/2025
