of all the 90s/00s trans jump scares that I've had, this one is the easiest to go along with. "Pre op transsexual" ... I didn't know your game, Dawson's

Screencap of Dawson's Creek 1x12. A guest character is saying to Pacey, "you know, I never figured you for a pre-op transsexual."

the fact that the Republicans are in a death spiral right before the midterms, and all Trump can do is fantasize about bulldozing the Kennedy Center, is honestly incredible. he just does not give a fuck

Oh wow, making a trailer for a narrative game is weird. I thought I had a brutally short shot list, but it's 3+ minutes lmao

ok I promise I did some trailer work I swear.

companies saying "we'll release our games in boxes even if there aren't discs" really confuse me. If I'm buying a physical copy, I care mainly about the disc. A box without a disc is meaningless to me

I thought about getting high tonight but then thought "all I actually want is to work on my game" so I did that instead, and I was right. doing my creative project is the most fulfilling thing I can do 😩

honestly I would do a Boyhood-like show but it's about gay vampires. instead of like "season 1 is 2026 and season 7 is 2041" it's "season 1 is 1115 and season 7 is 4 billion years from now"

every time I get home from a beach vacation, I spend the next two weeks thinking about how to get back to the beach

A selfie of me hanging on a wooden railing. I'm tired but relaxed. I need a shower (and a haircut frankly)

One thing I've been going back to add is better lighting; even in my simplistic pixel art, it really helps deepen the image and environment. Compare these screenshots from the diner; the only difference is that i spent an hour adding lighting lol

a screenshot of the diner in my game South Fork, from the July 10 build. No lighting evident

a screenshot of the diner in my game South Fork, from the Aug 7 build. Light is pouring in from a nearby window. The GUI is also visible which ... I need to update lol

I have a new theory; The incredible careers of both Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, combined with the downfall of Harry P*tter, have made Twilight cool again.

I'm gonna do this too 😤 but 1 like = 1 video game question

Alie Lark @alielark.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

not to deep it but there's a specific sadness that came with being a closeted trans girl in the 90s, watching the media tear down Princess Diana until it literally killed her. to watch this vision of womanhood and progressivism be torn asunder

071

Alie Lark @alielark.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

time to watch the Kristen Stewart Princess Diana movie 😈

not for nothing but if folks ever talk about how sexless GenZ is, consider the fact that women can't whisper on YouTube for fear of being banned / demonetized. we are all being suffocated by a handful of conservative companies, and it's not even breathplay

I liked the music in my electrologist's office so much I shazamed it. This was the result. I don't know how to feel about this. Sort of feels like a slur

such a strange piece. I agree with her art criticisms but she ignores how the industry works. all of the books referenced are published by the major houses. whatever judgments the author has about "millennial fiction" (lol) should be leveled at the editors and publishers who make business decisions.
