We had to say goodbye to this little guy today. Scooter was 12 years old and the best boy. The big hole in our heart will be there for the longest time. He was loved by so many. ❤️

Thrilled to have such a lovely review of 'Stellar Atmospheres' in Arts Hub by Ellie Fisher. Always makes my day. www.artshub.com.au/news/reviews...
A photo of author Alicia Sometimes and book cover of Stellar Atmospheres with a quote from the review of her book in Arts Hub: 'Stellar Atmospheres serves as a bridge between science and poetry. Sometimes adroitly navigates the intricacies between empirical inquiry and artistic expression, inviting readers to ponder the universe through a poetic lens. Her work exemplifies how art and science can converge to illuminate the wonders of existence, making the complexities of the cosmos both comprehensible and profoundly moving –somehow both distant and intimate, all at once.'

Prejudice, poor pay and the ‘urinary leash’: naming and claiming Australia’s forgotten women scientists
A new book explores a paradox: women have been excluded from Australian science for many social and political reasons, but were also present and active in it from its earliest days.

Late to the party but a big thank you to Maxine Beneba Clarke for her book recommendations in The Age on the weekend. So lovely to be mentioned alongside such luminaries.
Maxine Beneba Clarke writing in The Age: ‘…and ‘Stellar Atmospheres’ (Cordite) by Alicia Sometimes, is an unlikely pairing of science with poetry that explores astrophysics, cosmology, and contributions of female scientists, among other things.’
