The latest version of POV-Ray (3.7) doesn't come with CHESS.POV anymore, but it comes with CHESS2.POV, which is a little different. It renders this:

(bad) Idea: Pronoun selections for multiple pronoun users where you have the ability to set relative rates of each pronoun. Like maybe like: (a crosspost from a 2024 tumblr post)

anyway playing SNES games emulation-first did mean we had a slightly different experience from our legitimate-console playing friends. like me and my siblings played a ton of Super Bomberman 5 growing up. It never got a english/US release, but who cares?

I had one of those big clunky-knob printer switches hooked up to it, so I could switch between my printer, my SNES controller, or my NES controllers. Sometimes I'd forget to switch it back after playing Zelda and I'd try to print an english paper to my gamepad!

I mainly played using a Gravis GamePad Pro, which was a PS1 (pre-Analog) clone: Perfect for SNES games! You have all the buttons for a SNES game, PLUS two extra shoulder buttons you can map to SaveState/LoadState.

personally disappointed in people talking about ZSNES like it's not just a program you can install and run today. It's not ancient history, and even if it was, you could emulate it. also, why the blurry static JPEG? GIVE ME ANIMATED SNOW.
