Not sure I approve of this time passing business in light of this. Can’t complain. Hope you enjoy the series.

Has it really been 12 years… (Hello, by the way. Hope things are well.)

He’s the stationer’s apprentice? If so, I’m afraid you’re spot on.

Cue Hieda no Akyuu to bring out the Gensokyo Chronicle. (Merely a distraction from her writing as Agatha Chris Q, I am given to understand.)

I'm currently watching the third series of Foundation and every time he's on screen I wonder when he's going to reanimate the dead for a minute and ask whodunnit.

Fingers crossed indeed. Pace back in a role where he feels most natural, as a pie maker, not pretending to be an evil emperor. Stargate happened to be on, so it ended up being my science fiction series.

A. Libellule @alibellule.bsky.social · 10/12/2025

Oh, marvellous news. Fingers crossed they can retain the heart of the series. Do we know when, where, &c.? (Reminds me that they're also resurrecting Stargate, about which I feel cautious hope.)

It presumably reflects the cat ears well.

Predominantly practical-focussed subject rediscovering advantages of invigilated assessment, perhaps unsurprisingly, given recent advances in particular field of own subject.

It will have good company with 'communication'.

Can’t speak for the others but the Etrian art book is very good.

My first encounter with Age of Empires (and anything like it) was via the PS2 port.

I would suggest this a holy crusade but perhaps ‘heretical’ is more fitting given the nature of the objection.

A Channel is a nice series in my book. As good as any to fixate on.

Oh, don’t often see the sleeper fly through this station.

One of those fun coincidences where three of the five pens you carry around with you run out of ink on the same day. Checking the other two and one looks like it’s almost run out too.

The Concierge: that was nice enough. I’m not sure I’ll rush to see it again, though.

No festival brochure for me this year, it would seem. A shame.

Summer Ghost (+2). The first short felt not unlike like a fast-forwarded Just Because. Cute, want more. The second was about childhood friends’ awkward distance. Very cute. Need more. Summer Ghost was nice enough, if not immediately my cup of tea.

Oh, you're up our way? If you're wanting to try famous fish and chip shops, Tailend in St Andrews is a good one (although I've not visited in a couple of years). There's a good one in Anstruther as well, I seem to recall.

Is it really gloves time of the year already. My garden was frosted this morning and my fingers are complaining after a few minutes at the station. The main argument against it being that it will probably get colder later.

Oh, you're in Blighty. Hope you have a pleasant time on this side of the Pond.

First performance of the national anthem at the proms since the coronation. We’ve heard the national anthem before but this does rather drive it home.

Right. Time for The Last Night of The Proms. The first 'proper' one in a few years.

Someone has definitely switched the settings for morning weather to fog. Could barely see the end of my road this morning and it’s even worse across the fields.

If the past few years of Proms seasons has taught me anything it’s that I’m apparently quite fond of Bruckner’s symphonies.

Have learnt of the existence of a Python package called ‘Hugging Face Transformers’. I don’t know what it does or why it’s called that. And I’m not sure I want to find out the real answer. The name is too good to be dragged down to boring reality.

One of those fun mornings where something occurs to you that you ought to look it up, but when you get the chance to do so, you've completely forgotten what it was.
