I think I'm gonna watch every movie in the Chainsmoker Cat opening.

A shot from the opening of Chainsmoker Cat, referencing a shot from In the Mood for Love. Mankasu is sitting at her desk with her back to us, cigarette in her hand behind her neck, and cigarette smoke rising from the desk. There are also credits on screen.

Conan the Barbarian 246 from 1991.

A strip of 3 comic book panels.
Panel 1:
Soldiers and horses at the bottom of a wide staircase outside.
General Amalric leads Conan, Sonja and Zula following Count Thespides.
Thespides: "We must discuss-- uh--"
Amalric: "Is something wrong, count?"
Thespides: "I-- just realized-- one of your soldiers is a-- a woman--"
"--while another is black as the night."

Panel 2:
A low angle a Amalric looking down at and beyond Conan and Sonja.
Amalric: "What?"
"By Mitra, Thespides-- I do believe you're right!"
"I never noticed it before!"

Panel 3:
A low angle of Amalric addressing Thespides above, with the columns of a palace and a wide man in the background waiting for them.
Amalric: "Perhaps, rather than defend Khoraja with such ignobles, I should withdraw my army, and wait for Natohk's hordes to reach the borders of Koth, or even Corinthia!"
Thespides: "Er-- That will not be necessary, Amalric."
"I was simply... Making an observation."

It's also in the Chinatown reference of the opening.

An anime version of the scene from Chinatown where Jack Nicholson talks to some detectives on the road while tapping a cigarette, except it's Yano Neko instead of Jack. Far in the background there's a huge tower shrouded in fog.

OMG, I just noticed that in episode 1 of Chainsmoker Cat you can see the Alphas' tower in the background.

A cityscape of Sagamihara with feline elements added, and a huge tower taller than any building of the city in the far background, vanishing into the fog.

Oh, I wasn't sure the delay of Chainsmoker Cat episode 10 was about censorship, but any such doubt is gone after seeing the main title sequence of episode 11.

Yani Neko in the smoking scene from Léon the Professional with a black censorship bar covering her eyes.

It's so interesting how Chainsmoker Cat depicts race relations. There's this transition where Imoko, a high school "Beastfolk" who happens to have mostly human friends, seems to meet two other cat girls, but then she walks past them. It's just a transition, it's not explicitly saying anything.

The same shot, except it turns out: Imoko and the track suit girls aren't in the same plane. They go past each other, while a third track suit cat girl appeared from the right, waving back to the left.

Commander Keen is the alias of Billy Blaze, a kid who fights aliens in classic ID Software games. He's a small guy in a big helmet.

Captain Kronos actually fights in the group style of The Witcher 1.

Kronos is surrounded by brigands in a cemetery. He is dual wielding two swords, spinning in a crouched position, his arms wide.

In Captain Kronos there's a scene in an inn. In the background a blind girl is sitting and drinking. She has no other role. She's only a background character. The movie depicts physical handicaps as something natural. It's made explicit with the hunchback Grost.

A young lady is sitting at a talbe at an inn. Her eyes are blindfolded, there's a cane next to her and she's feeling the metal jug in front of her with her hand.

A dashing, half naked man is sitting with a tiny cigar. Behind her a woman is doing something to his back.
He says: "…your body was give to you by God."

I don't even understand what he's thinking here. How is the "original" Solomon Grundy from Earth-Two? I would call something "original", if it's from my Earth. But he says the "original" wasn't from "our" Earth. So, how is it "original"?

Superman is grappled my Swamp-Thing with Solomon Grundy towering over them. Superman thinks: "The original Solomon Grundy of Earth-Two was an easy match for me, but this version from our Earth is strong enough to carry out his threat!"
Superman says: "Swamp Thing, I don't want to hurt you--"

OMG, this is amazing! Even I complained that Venarium was some kind of futuristic sci-fi city. (bsky.app/profile/algi...) In Savage Sword it was always a realistic wooden fort. If they wrote this in, that means they must have gotten a lot of angry letters.

Two panels from Marvel's Conan the Barbarian.
Panel 1:
Zenobia is sitting in King Conan's lap on the throne.
Conan: "Whatever do you mean?"
Zenobia: "Tonight you described Venarium as a gleaming city-- yet you always told me it was just a wooden fortress. You told me you didn't see any real cities till you came south to Zamora."
"And even the way your parents died--why, I remember you saying once--"
Panel 2:
They're laughing.
Conan: "Hahahaha! Your point is well-taken, dear wife!"
"But don't blame me-- I just spin my yarns."
"It's up to Prince Conn to decide how much he believes them!"

OMG, they're making fun of themselves. They adapted The Tower of the Elephant twice.

A panel from Marvel's Conan the Barbarian. In the throne room of King Conan Conan sits on the throne starting to stand up, his son Conn stands in front of him, his wife Zenobia just arrived and points at them.
Conn: "But--father was just about to tell me about that tower in Arenjun--"
"-- and how he killed a spider as big as a pig--"
"--and how he freed that poor godling with the elephant's head from the evil wizard Yara--"
"--and how--"
Zenobia: "From your words, it would seem he's told you that tale once or twice before."
"I suspect its hundredth re-telling can wait a night or two."

This is a photo I took in Valencia, I'm very proud of it, and I show it to everyone I can, they want it or not. There's no trickery, it's not a composite (I wanted to do a composite, but this was the only pic that came out good), I only changed the levels and cropped it. It was all in the planning.

In Conan the King 28 (from 1985) an old Sonja was still a merc. Her only role was to lure Conan into an adventure and serve as a counterpoint to queen Zenobia who wants Conan to care more about his family, so it wasn't very interesting for a fan like me who wants to see her as a main character.

The cover of Conan the Barbarian issue 237, depicting Conan wrestling a constrictor snake, next to a giant tree with a ratman. The tree and the ground is full of snakes. The style is unmistakable Mignola, it's like Conan found his way into the magical glade of the fairies in Hellboy.

This is the wildest, most obscure MCU trivia: The villain Mary Walker (played by Alice Eve) introduced in fricking Iron Fist season 2 that nobody watched would've turned into the main villain of Daredevil season 4.

According to Erik Oleson, in the cancelled fourth season of Daredevil, Typhoid Mary would have been the main villain, with Eve reprising the role. Oleson added that Eve would have played a "rebooted" version of Mary.
