Inside Out: Snail Mail Canada Post reimagines a familiar object within an unexpected landscape, inviting viewers to pause and reconsider the ordinary. The brilliant red mailbox anchors the composition against a field ofrepeating geometric forms, creating a compelling balance of color, pattern, and space Close observatior reveals thoughtful design and subtle visual details that contribute to its sense of mystery. I was excited to have my painting accepted to @archenemyarts.bsky.social 2023 Open Call, then to have this same painting accepted to the NHP&CC 124th Annual Juried Exhibit in Feb! This morning I was beyond the moon to find out it was bought for the club’s private collection! Someone pinch me!

Last year I came up with the idea of the troupial, Protector of Gummies, for a mini woodcut bootcamp led by Tom Hück at CCP. The bootcamp was 3 days & an all nighter to get this 8.5x12 sketch pulled on the 3rd day. I learned so much about the process and took home a concept I continued exploring

In 2019, I finished “Icterus, Icterus,” 30”x40” titled after the national bird of Venezuela. I intended on this series, with my life as an expat, as my motif. These past couple of months I’ve been working on this 2nd one (smaller at 18x24), in oils. ~75% there.
