It was just a personal thing but I never felt any link with Broadhurst. I'd never been there and knew nothing of the area.

Yes. It wasn't good. We had some vague possibilities given to us at the time such as Broadhurst,a share with Broughton Park at Hough End and Sharston.I fancied Sharston as I felt Wythenshawe always missed out,or Broughton Park due to pub locations in Chorlton.Plus the metro was promised for Sharston

I remember going into the board meeting to be told that Ten Acres had fallen through. All the hard work until that moment snatched away. We felt broken. Maybe it would be over by Christmas.

It's great fun to laugh at city. However it can't distract from United since the original takeover,sanctioned by David(debt is the road to ruin)Gill and Fergie, the club has mostly been a basket case. Poorly run,hugely in debt,and as big as joke as city in many ways. Nothing about it shocks me now.

Odd things I find. This is grass from the first ever cut of the pitch from FCUM. I saw someone selling cuttings in a key ring from the pitch after the 99 final in Barcelona. I planned to do similar. Never got round to it. Still have the clippings 😀

Think i said a couple of days back that there are many more twists to come. Not that they going to get off,just threats from other clubs plus these owners are very powerful. They are used to getting their own way. They aren't some sort of benign philanthropists.

I could also see the owners just walking. Do they need the grief? Their reputation is in tatters. What that would mean to the city council and the regeneration of East Manchester is another possible can of worms as well.

I can't see how they can move them anywhere even if they wanted to as the season has already started.As have the leagues below. Can see a huge points deduction and fine. Whole other can of worms re Europe and other clubs making a claim. Then there's the FA. Very messy obviously.

to be fit and proper owners. Clubs aren't cash machines for owners. Perhaps look more at the ownership models in Germany? Whatever it is they have proved themselves not fit to run the national game at the top level IMO. Fans are also to blame. Show them success however achieved. Tonights rant over😀

Much as I've enjoyed city getting found out to be cheats this last few days I've moved on from laughter and got more pished off. Any city fans in need of advice re setting up your own club i may be able to point you in the right direction. 😀 Mind there is a excellent non- league club called Maine Road that play at the excellent little ground on Brantingham Road.
