Considering *everything* I’ve been curious why musical activism hasn’t really taken off this decade like it did in the 1960s, where almost every hit song was political. Olivia Rodrigo randomly dropping this today *might* be the start of something? music.apple.com/ca/album/ser...

I love watching the Toronto Blue Jays mow down the New York Yankees. Varland is just a monster.

I’m so confused. I’m not a prospect guy but Nimmala was a name I knew and was kind of excited to eventually see.

Nah, it was awesome. You do that in either case. If anyone can handle it, it’s him.

To film The Odyssey, IMAX’s newest camera had to survive mountains, deserts, and the open sea—but also intimate conversations between actors. IMAX's global president takes us through how the engineering behind that leap happened right in Mississauga.

Who else is Odyssey-maxxing? I spoke with IMAX’s global president about the 🇨🇦 innovation behind Christopher Nolan’s summer blockbuster, and if the company can get the IMAX experience into more theatres.

I’m so Nolan-pilled. No one doing it like him.

Gambling ads being the most consistent user of public facing AI-generated commercials checks out. World’s most extractive industry can’t even be assed to generate some value by employing like 12 people for a day of shoots.

Steve Staios induced shiny new toy syndrome in himself with late round draft picks

Alex Riehl @alexriehl.com · 01/07/2026

So this is what it looks like to see Staios flailing. Feels like he’s completely lost control. No Giroux, re-sign Cousins, trade for Ersson and Burakovsky for NO reason (likely FAs). Then you DON’T QO Ersson then give him MORE money and term? Even if you believed in him you coulda QO’d!

It was at least done before UFA last year. Helped that we also took a step forward last year. For a guy in the closing years of his career it wouldn’t be surprising to look elsewhere :/

Really scared to see Nick Cousins re-sign with the Sens right after insiders say Giroux is going to UFA. My heartbreak will no know bounds if Giroux is wearing any other crest next year.

I feel like the vibes of the upcoming Sens season are actually going to be very good. Of course we seem to have a knack for punching above our weight in drama, but idk, I suddenly feel hyped. Like the scorned fan base is going to show up out of pure spite this year.

Thinking about how I ran into Chabot at a random Starbucks on Baseline road because he sticks around Ottawa for the offseason.

Maybe bad take but I really WANTED to like Brady. This is a shame imo, but it was getting harder to grit my teeth and cheer this team with him on it while he’s so obviously obtuse. This is insane.
