"It would be incredibly inefficient to outsource my perversions"

I mean, I'm not *complaining* it's just not how I normally consider soup 🤷‍♂️

"Left with no other choice" is doing a lot of heavy lifting, here...

Oh, look. It's one of mine, and I do love it to pieces. Secrets, revenge, a ghost, a demon, and the human man who just can't keep away from the mysterious, dark stranger. Also: spice. Kinky spice. On KU, you can grab a German copy too. #mmromance #queerhalloween #spicyromance #demons

You have standards, and we appreciate that.

I mean, I said 99% but we both know it was closer to 50/50...

I'm 99% sure it's not what you meant, but I first read this as "another man" being someone other than your dentist. Perhaps just a stranger who wandered in off the street and took the opportunity to fondle your molars?

It's October 6, 2026, and Chace Verity is back. It's October 6, 1946, and Ike Irving is back. Radio Silence, a full length standalone 1940s historical m/m romance about two radio stars reuniting after five years apart, is available now. chaceverity.itch.io/radio-silence payhip.com/b/ZoVOE

Cover for Chace Verity's Radio Silence done in black and white typography with blood splatter along the title. At top, it reads: How far will they go to protect each other?

Enemies to lovers with engaging, charismatic queer antagonists. I'm thinking along the lines of Shuos Mikodez and Nirai Kujen in Yoon Ha Lee's Machineries of Empire series: sure, they're monsters but you can't help but like them. Give me queer evil and I'll be happy.

Fair. That way you would have two skateboard ramps.

Does it make it any easier if you discover rectangles are in fact two innocent very-much-in-love triangles just cuddling up happily together?

An orange post-it note with a hand-drawn picture of a rectangle split into two triangles. Each triangle has a smiling face and there are hearts at the edges. They are in love.

Me too! And I feel like the Chinese BLs have been really leagues ahead at that sort of toxicity lately. I just wish they weren't constantly smoking 🫠

I never actually watched Boys Planet! But he's very good, he broods nicely. It has a fun "show within a show" theme, but the one they're meant to be acting in has been getting more and more toxic in every episode. Not quite To My Shore levels, but definitely 😳

But don't worry, I'm also watching Chinese BL "Deep In" which is getting more and more entertainingly unhinged, because I believe in A Balanced BL Diet.

Japanese BL loves its "very popular boy and shy overlooked boy fall in love" theme, particularly when the popular guy pursues the shy one. But there is something especially charming about this series, it just does yearning very well. And I am a *big* sucker for some quality yearning.

I am invariably a sucker for a good Japanese BL, but "Popular Serizawa Acts Weird Around Me" has its absolute claws in me right now.

'Favorite' is so tricky to pin down, but Ginsberg's "Many Loves" would be v.close. It has everything: longing, secrets, blunt physicality, and the sense of falling into something transformational which you can't resist (and maybe don't even fully understand). www.tumblr.com/casualnarp/7...

I am far from an expert, but I always see these sort of features as also being a "people will feel regret/remorse and course correct without us having to actively change anything" fallacy. Which is handy if you're a mainstream political strategist who wants things to just be business-as-usual.

Honestly, one of the few lingering reasons why I haven't allowed myself to get into fountain pens

*glances out of the window and shudders* Be careful, it is a slippery slope...

I love when there are friends who are just "oh ffs GET A GRIP YOU TWO" 😁

I think you just earned yourself a prime spot in the turbine hall!

Fair warning: They may require a discount, just based on the current market price for formaldehyde. How long can you hold your breath underwater?

Keep the landline free, because I'm pretty sure Tate Modern is going to be calling at some point today ☎️

But does that lower their value, or give them a unique patina which improves it?

Last days to get in on this! $5 per ticket, and this beautiful set could be yours! Funds go to paying my $6k loan to my mom.

This sounds like an incredible euphemism, but I'm just not sure what for.

I love it when they're such dinky little kittens and they haven't quite grown into their own ears yet 😻

I am somehow not surprised that that is perennially popular 😁

I think the last time it happened was early 2025? I have no idea how people even stumble across it; it must only have double-digit views, if that 😂 I just had a strong inclination one time to write something filthy about Jimin from BTS 🫣

Waking up to an AO3 "you've got kudos" message was not what I expected today (only one short posted there, many years ago, not at all publicized 😂)

They all know to be terrified. I tell them that on day one!
