Meta have stolen Chill, Shiver, Darker Ends and For My Sins and used them without my permission. This represents years of work. I’ve written a letter to AI companies telling them they have no right to use my work.

Israel has shattered the ceasefire in Gaza, killing hundreds of people and threatening more to come. This is happening because countries like the UK have allowed Israel to act with impunity. This must end. It’s time for trade sanctions on Israel. act.globaljustice.org.uk/node/4333/

Text reads: Israel has shattered the ceasefire. SANCTIONS NOW.

When I’m struggling to write, I often go back to this David Lynch quote. ‘I discovered that if one looks a little closer at this beautiful world, there are always red ants underneath’

My childhood was elegant homes, tree-lined streets, the milkman, building backyard forts, droning airplanes, blue skies, picket fences, green grass, cherry trees. Middle America as it’s supposed to be. But on the cherry tree, there’s this pitch oozing out – some black, some yellow – and millions of red ants crawling all over it. I discovered that if one looks a little closer at this beautiful world, there are always red ants underneath.

Twin peaks was ahead of its time. Everything that came after was I soured by it. The trees, the swinging traffic lights, the staircase with the fan…

RIP David Lynch. I remember the night #twinpeaks first aired, and seeing this image on the screen for the first time, hearing that eerie music. I’d never seen anything like it before. Agent Coop hanging upside down while using a dictaphone for Diane, who never appears. #davidlynch

I remember watching Twin Peaks on a small fat portable TV, and hearing the spine tingling music as the credits rolled. Back in the days when you had to wait a week for the next episode. I looooved it. Welcome to Twin Peaks.

David Attenborough is right, “if we continue on our current path, we will face the collapse of everything.” We know what we need to do, it’s the corruption & lies of the fossil fuel companies & our leaders that makes extinction more likely. We need zero emissions within 5yrs!

A freezing foggy walk at the University after work (Paddy was a bit grumpy with people at the office) then home to a milky spicy yogi tea. Don’t ask - my current fad.
