Gibbs-White, though? Yes please! (The chances of it are actually happening are v slim, would surely take an astronomical fee.)

Not particularly convinced by Kudus — think there’s significantly better options in that price bracket — but very glad we’ve finally started to act. The start of, hopefully, a massive summer. 🤞

That Thomas Frank interview is exactly what you expect. He’s well-spoken, articulates himself brilliantly, and has a clear set of ideas ready to implement. Postecoglou has left a brilliant structure for him, but I’m very, very confident Frank can take it up a gear.

Spurs will never have a better speaker or motivator as manager. A classy statement from a classy man.

Does this not completely contradict the thought-process?

Alex Mitton @alexmitton.bsky.social · 06/06/2025

In the likelihood that Thomas Frank becomes Spurs manager, I hope everyone gets behind him. He’s an utterly superb coach — adaptable, well-spoken and tactically smart. This decision shouldn’t take away from him, but it only adds to the pressure for next season. #thfc

The irony is that if Spurs finished sixth and didn’t win a trophy, Postecoglou would not be sacked. But because he prioritised Europe, won a trophy and secured Champions League football, he is! It’s crazy, utterly crazy.

071

Alex Mitton @alexmitton.bsky.social · 06/06/2025

An utterly stupid and obscene decision. #thfc

Ella Morris’ ACL injury is an utterly heartbreaking one for such a talented player. ACL epidemic in women’s football continuing to cause chaos, and it’s a massive hit for Spurs’ long-term plan.

070

Alex Mitton @alexmitton.bsky.social · 26/05/2025

Postecoglou should be given another six months. Sack him now, there’s always a case of ‘what if?’ The players love him, he’s produced the greatest moment in 41 years and he’s had to contend with a ridiculous injury crisis. + there’s hardly a world-class manager available!

There’s always been a bit of a nonsensical debate around Cristian Romero, but that performance last night makes him a club legend. Leader. Warrior. And everything in between. Whatever his future holds, he’ll always be remembered for getting in Maguire’s head! #thfc

Barring an unlikely win and heavy Aston Villa defeat on the final day of the season, Spurs are set to have their lowest-ever finish in the WSL since being promoted in 2019. Although it won't be the fewest points they have picked up, that remains the 2022/23 season (18). #thfc

FT: Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea Not a bad performance from Spurs against the WSL champions. But when you're playing against a team of that quality, you have to take your chances. Spurs didn't do that. They stay 10th after a last-minute equaliser for Crystal Palace against Leicester. #thfc

Richarlison didn't come off injured – it was tactical. Maddison (knee) and Solanke (quad) felt minor pain, but it's hoped they're both not serious.
