gay stuff
collage of the US capitol building, the British house of parliament, a US dollar, the logos of mastercard, paypal and stripe, the Kids Online Safety Act, and the distorted visages of JK Rowling, Mark Zuckerberg, and Mitch Mcconnell with helen lovejoy from the simpsons all saying "NO GAY STUFF!"

TY is sitting at his computer saying to the reader: "Actually, it's an act of resistance for me to be horny on main"

Somebody explain why the rule is if you can't make rent, cut out the streaming apps, lattes, and avocado toasts." but it's never 'if you can't afford your workers a living wage, cut out the mega-yachts, rockets, and spaceships."

If any of y'all are doing anything that requires an international customs broker, DO NOT HIRE LIVINGSTON ITNL! They have: ACH'd us prior to cancellation dates; caused us 2000+ in dreyage fees, leaked confidential client info to us, and connected us to faith based phone scams in their phone tree.

Yeah, between that and the fact that the decision pays for itself in 3-4 months, too, without having to pay their equipment fees.

I'm not going to post very often about stuff like this but... If I somehow miss some part of your order, let me know BEFORE a month has passed. I want to get your order correct and to you. I really do. If I don't manage to get it done right, I will keep trying until I do. But don't sleep on it.

Being included by others is not something you just pray for and have happen for you, it's something that comes from effort. It comes from coordinating, footing bills, doing legwork to build the community, sometimes through launching projects. The work has to be harder than "just showing up".

Looking at going in to work to wash dishes for 8 hours and feeling... Less than enthusiastic? The diaper is supposed to keep my pants protected from my soggy bits, not to protect my bits from my soggy pants. If only diaper sales could pay all the bills :(

Just some old images of some wire wand baubles I made a while ago, all of which got lost over time. My husband still has one somewhere, but I think it's in storage. I added a few details images that reveal the construction.

I really like playing colony sims like RimWorld and Dwarf Fortress. There's just something about building logistics structures and systems that hits hard, even if I'm not at all good at them... I like things more laid back, though, where failure is less an inevitability and more a consequence.

People often ask me whether I'm cosplaying (Dresden, Gandalf, etc). But no. I'm myself, all day, every day. These were my requirements: *A long garment good for keeping wind and dust away. *A hat with a wide brim in a "dated" style. *A staff too nice to think I would go hitting people with it.

This is probably what I'm best known for, besides selling diapers. I think people will probably recognize THIS far more readily than anything else, especially furries. People ask me, sometimes, whether it is even "real". Yes, it's real.
It is the Taproot and Trunk of a whole tree. It was dug out of the geometric center of a garden. The foot is a composite of copper, brass, and epoxy, with a 2-layer copper shell made from a pipe and pipe fitting hammered together.

The inner core of the foot is a stud of bronze filled with copper (because copper is soft and "gummy" as metals go). If the foot ever wears through down to the wood, I can replace the stud along with the rest as there is a threaded insert there, and the wood is reinforced with brass pins under the foot cowl. It's a shame they're hidden.Sadly, the bit of metal (some crudely smelted Electrum) there has been lost; it pulled right out of the silk cord while cracking rocks on the sidewalk. The ruby in silver wire is also currently "off", but I removed that one myself, before it could "run away" from me.

I have a replacement for the electrum I lost, a bus token of two metals wrapped with fine silver wire, and the ruby is also sitting next to it on my "tiny bag", but I can't put them back on my stick until I do something to repair or replace the ribbon.

That in and of itself is an issue, however, in that I don't have anything I have "collected" that I can replace it with, and I refuse to replace it with "just anything". I would prefer to use fine silver, but I still don't know how I would even design that.

I also like collecting tools, and not "modern" ones per se. Really I like collecting some of the very oldest sorts of tools humans have used, including the same sorts of tools used in the literal stone age.

These are some of my favorite rocks. I carry the smaller ones everywhere. I figure if I'm going to carry a "bag full of rocks", it's going to be rocks I actually like. Even if one is really a piece of wood.
A large stone, though I'm unsure of it is opal, jade, or a simple agate; found; it had been left under a tree on my old property, and sits upright like this. From the Appleseed, going clockwise: Uranium glass; fossilized ammonite; a burl that fell off the host tree; a tiny hematite "slab", assorted aluminum oxide specimens (and some other small bits); a pockmarked agate.

Something that makes me unreasonably mad and also quite sad is when people waste their time with words instead of undertaking meaningful actions. Don't (just) tell people you love them, especially not for religious reasons, because that's not what love is. Love is composed of work, not words.

I sometimes wonder whether people mythologize me in some way from time to time. After all, a lot of furries end up seeing me, but very few know who I actually am or stop to say hi, and I never know what to say, because I'm pretty sure most just interpret me as someone wearing a costume.

Another thing that shouldn't need to be said but does, this time about friendship: Any attempt that is not "organic" is doomed to fail. People cannot be coerced or even "suggested" to social engagement. Such forced engagement is always resented, and does no good whatsoever.

I guess more on the subject of forgiveness: forgiveness isn't about suffering. You can't buy it by accepting "vengeance". Rather, forgiveness is about you taking actions which will meaningfully change you (such as therapy and applied behavioral modification), and doing so because you want to change

If anyone called me at 10:30pm without my express permission, I would scold them. If they did it to contact me to try to "give their side" of a social conflict with a friend of mine I would tell them never to contact me again. If they called my parents because I ignored them I would press charges.

In some respects, I've been really hesitant to get into BSky; frankly, there's not much in my life that calls out to be shared. In fact, I like working on the "back end", hidden away when possible. Not to mention my interests (and long-windedness) don't translate well to short format text posts.

...so please don't be that guy demanding forgiveness, because that's the cutest way to know you don't deserve it yet. Instead, if you have hurt someone badly enough that you think forgiveness is needed, do the real things asked of you to effectively change.

...That's what all of many of the worst people always seem to miss: as soon as you start making it about ceasing your loneliness or recovering your life from consequences, you are already digging that hole again because it's not about you growing at that point...
000
Alex the HusBun @alexlavendel.bsky.social · 11/03/2026
...and moreover, you can't just do it because you want to stop people being mad, or because you feel lonely; that's "the wrong reasons". Instead, you have to do it knowing you will likely get nothing for it from them but more hate, and instead change for the sake of not hurting the next person...

Alex the HusBun @alexlavendel.bsky.social · 11/03/2026
...In fact one of the biggest things about learning to be an adult, even if you get up to some ABDL shenanigans, is actually learning these things: that forgiveness requires meaningful painful effort on behalf of the person seeking it, and that this is no guarantee to receive it...
000
Alex the HusBun @alexlavendel.bsky.social · 11/03/2026
...And even when someone changes, people are under no obligation to actually forgive them. Sure, it's good for them, cathartic to let go of the stink eye that ideally serves as the reason for someone to grow, but it's not a requirement...
000
Alex the HusBun @alexlavendel.bsky.social · 11/03/2026
... As a result, I think that if people want to seek forgiveness, they must do meaningful work to show those they seek it from that they acknowledge the reality of their actions and then take real and meaningful actions to change themselves, and behavioral modification takes hard, painful work...

Alex the HusBun @alexlavendel.bsky.social · 11/03/2026
...and they should definitely not tell people they are "Christian", because there's no faster way to make it untrue than by believing it to be true. Then, I'm an atheist: I think that if anyone wants heaven, they will need to build it today, here, with their own two hands and those beside them...
000
Alex the HusBun @alexlavendel.bsky.social · 11/03/2026
...I think, in fact, that if anyone is to ever see themselves as "Christian" in any regard, the very first thing they need to do is stop giving money and time to "churches" and instead give that money and time directly to the people who need it without sermons or prayer or proselytizing...

Alex the HusBun @alexlavendel.bsky.social · 11/03/2026
...Not everyone I surround myself with would do as much. I don't believe in "permanent bans". I don't believe consequences should ever be eternal; if there is someone willing to take the time to reach someone, even the most terrible of people, I think they should be given that opportunity...

Alex the HusBun @alexlavendel.bsky.social · 11/03/2026
...And now that I've gone and earned a scolding for having been so crass as to talk about charity, it gets me to my reasons for discussing it at all: I will always help the people I see to the extent that I can help them, even if I hate them, even if they are awful people who make me feel unsafe...
000
Alex the HusBun @alexlavendel.bsky.social · 11/03/2026
...It legitimately makes me feel better about the world being able to do that one direct thing for people. The apparel business, as much as it is amazing to actually "own" something like that, it doesn't give me the resources that the kitchen job does to make a difference to anyone else..
000
Alex the HusBun @alexlavendel.bsky.social · 11/03/2026
...but the reason I have this job is that it's part time or nothing since I have to run the fulfillment operations for our business, and because it gives me access to as much free food as the kitchen has at the end of the day as I can carry, and I like giving that food to hungry people...
000
Alex the HusBun @alexlavendel.bsky.social · 11/03/2026
...But I guess where I was going with that is that this isn't the first time I've tried to build something? But that gets me back to that second job I have, the part time job mopping a kitchen. The thing is, I have this thought, and it's admittedly crass to even bring up the fact that I do this...
000
Alex the HusBun @alexlavendel.bsky.social · 11/03/2026
...The result of all that ended with me deciding I needed to spend some time growing up some more, though to be fair it wasn't the last time I ever did something like that, but I try to avoid situations where I know I'll get myself into such trouble these days...
000
Alex the HusBun @alexlavendel.bsky.social · 11/03/2026
...Eventually, that trouble I liked causing got me into trouble and I got banned, and I deserved it, though probably not for the reasons they used. While they were mad at me having a giant monument to furry genitals, I had a secret career of hard-crashing people out of unlicenced casinos...

Alex the HusBun @alexlavendel.bsky.social · 11/03/2026
...So, I decided to throw my money behind growing my husband's business and making his dreams of producing a diaper happen. And to be fair it's not the first time I've spun up a business. Back in the '00s I ran a business on Second Life selling furry penises, granted I also liked causing trouble...
000
Alex the HusBun @alexlavendel.bsky.social · 11/03/2026
...the thing is, I just didn't want to keep doing work to build someone else's nice things and then get none of those nice things. The aircraft simulator interfaces I built? I don't even have source code for it. The motor controller libraries I wrote? Nope. Nothing to show for it...

Alex the HusBun @alexlavendel.bsky.social · 11/03/2026
So, a bit about me, I suppose: Currently I work two jobs, one as the COO of an apparel company, and the other as a kitchen reset grunt at a food place downtown. It's not that I don't have other skills; I was a software engineer for 15 years before that, and a quite skilled engineer at that...
