alexjmoss.bsky.social @alexjmoss.bsky.social · 04/01/2026Does ITVX pepper ads throughout the film? Or are they respectful and just have a load at the start you have to watch? 120
alexjmoss.bsky.social @alexjmoss.bsky.social · 04/01/2026Yes. The slightly theatrical production value adds to the fairytale seething as well as essentially taking place in Fred Savage’s imagination as the story is being read to him. Falk’s voice over is a key part of this. 1350
alexjmoss.bsky.social @alexjmoss.bsky.social · 04/01/2026It’s not the filmmakers. It’s the studios who outsource CGI creation to the lowest bidder and then run them to meet their release schedule. Some of the better effects houses have gone out of business because of this model. 010
alexjmoss.bsky.social @alexjmoss.bsky.social · 04/01/2026Totally get them not being your thing. I think they are a shining example of why Big Budget CGI could and should be. Cameron has always progressed cinematic technology and Avatar feels like this every time. Culturally agree, I’ve never seen an Avatar action figure. 110
alexjmoss.bsky.social @alexjmoss.bsky.social · 04/01/2026Kev, where do you think we need to upgrade in Jan? Before Miley did his thing I’d say RB but now it feels like we need a creative mid who can unlock defences more frequently. 000
