Ultimately last night I can remember him being in 3/4 very good goal scoring positions so I think it will come

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

He looked over his shoulder just prior and must have thought someone was there

110

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

Despite the issues 4-1 flattered Coventry, half their xg came from a pen and MFP's dummy doesn't count towards ours despite it being a huge chance

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

Yeah, I don't understand why Steur didn't play either

010

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

I'd prefer to play well for the 60 and deal with the final 30. He's got to build his fitness somehow and he's not doing it sat on the bench

010

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 13/10/2026

Getting Steur into the team is really the key imo, we have too many players that want to run vertically with nobody to knit it together

230

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

Wissa and then Barnes playing at 10 I just can't fathom

000

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

Imo we have an unbalanced squad with too many runners and finishers (who aren't currently finishing, and we've had the chances tonight) and not enough passers and dribblers. Combine this with a young squad without enough leaders you get this #nufc

000

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

Toure does not look comfortable on the right, doesn't seem to have confidence cutting in, but at least getting in good positions #nufc

000

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 12/10/2026

Don't think Wissa is a 10 lads #nufc

110

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Welfare spending is too high but he wants public money spent on infrastructure around a stadium so it can increase the value of his asset

020

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Building revenues is always framed as catching up to the cartel but that might not be possible. In the shorter term we need to put more clear water between us and the clubs below us, we need to be able to out compete those teams in terms of the wages we can offer #nufc

I think we could shove Elanga up front if we were short. Similarly we've got enough to cover at 10 in an emergency. If a bid of £40m guaranteed comes in we should strongly consider it imo

010

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

This definitely isn't good news for MFP to #nufc

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

4 points against 2 teams that expect to have more of the ball, next little run of games against teams that are going to let us have it are going to be very revealing. Also don't think teams are going to allow Nico to ping passes like that anymore #nufc

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Tonali being a trigger for our press is very amusing #nufc

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

I'd like to understand what city didn't like about him? He's not Rodri obviously, but why is it they wouldn't keep him with Anderson and Bouaddi as rotation option beyond scr reasons?

100

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

I think first half there was a point he was running at their back four with no support, he kept going but didn't do anything stupid and he ended up laying it off to someone. A year ago he would have got over excited and gone down a blind alley

110

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

Please, at this price can we get involved? Ticks a lot of boxes for imo and can play in a couple of positions, shift Barnes over to the right if need be #nufc

There are some benefits to getting gazumped by every club for every player... #nufc

These are grown men who have paid for blue ticks to amplify their unoriginal banter. Joke is on them.

010

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

I suspect we are spending a lot of time haggling over payment terms because of SCR. Both Hornicek and Munoz had low release clauses that we could have just triggered

010

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

They've just taken Saibari as back up to Kane already. Hoping someone comes and takes him on loan. I think he's a problem we are never going to solve

130

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

My most basic football opinion is he needs to put 5kg of muscle on

210

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

I thought I was about to be consumed by a fireball

030

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

Dedic, Bergvall and a winger and I'd probably be happy

010

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

I don't know why we didn't sign that guy in particular, I would have thought we could if we wanted too. Maybe there was something about him we didn't like? I'm very much in reserving judgement mode but I'll get irritated if we haven't completed a couple of deals before the Liverpool game

110

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

I think there's going to be a lot of mad scrambling from lots of clubs

100

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

It's probably a question of what they are allowed to do without PIF approval? Do they have to ask permission for every transfer or are they broadly autonomous? For DH and RW this is their first proper window at the club and it's hardly been straightforward

100

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

I don't think it's at all surprising it's been a quiet after MJ arrived. End of the window is going to be hectic, we are by no means the only club that have a lot to do

110

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

At the end of the season I was saying if we get an ok offer we should accept. I would have taken around £20m.

010

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

If Willock goes, as I assume he will, then I think he has to stay almost by default.

100

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

Last summer Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and United were all looking for strikers. This summer none of the cartel are after strikers. If we'd had the Isak situation this summer we would have had a much clearer run at the players we wanted.

000

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 30/07/2026

Looking for silver linings - towards the end of last season it felt like Eddie was retaining too much faith in some of the old guard. A fresh start for Wissa, Woltemade, Elanga and Ramsey could be a good thing. It sounds Jaissle will play a fairly similar system so less adaptation required #nufc

Gregor Kobel, 2 years left on his Dortmund contract maybe

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 27/07/2026

It's hard to see that and think he's doing anything other than staying

Alex @alexjames555.bsky.social · 26/07/2026

True or not I was put off him completely watching the world cup, quite happy with Bamba
