I’ve been making my own font for my comics and it’s a fun challenge! I’m definitely getting closer to what I want. Every time I create text with it, I find another thing that needs a tweak.

When I look around my house, I am not at all surprised that I am a person with many tattoos. Every wall is covered in as much art as possible. Every water bottle, craft cart, thread case, etc is transformed with a multitude of stickers. Everything is a vehicle for art!

I was cannibalising an old pair of glasses so I could take their nice nose pads for my current pair. I also made the mistake of switching an arm to see if I’d prefer that too. I didn’t and it took FOREVER to get the original arm on because of the teeny tiny - screw. Good nose pads tho.

I have animated to the voices of many voice actors and celebrities and most if them I have never met. But every time I see one of them on TV or a reel or something, I think, “Oh look, it’s my old coworker.” 😂

I’m listening to a new book from the library and it feels very normcore, unlike the book I listened to before that, which I very much enjoyed. It’s like the previous book was a blackberry and lemon patisserie; sharp, complex, balanced, a real treat. And this new book is a Subway cookie. It’s fine.

I’ve heard that they show your post to a fraction of your followers and if it does well, then they push it out further. Nothing has gotten much traction since I moved back to Australia. I think because I built most of my audience in North America and now my time zone is very different.

They fall in love and kiss, so she does return to her statue life and he goes on to become the mayor of New York, a very Mumdani style mayor (aka a GOOD one). So the ending is bittersweet but the whole movie is New York and fun and reminding people to care for their communities

You know what would be a fun tv show that I’d love to watch? Rose starting her new life after surviving the Titanic. Living her life to the fullest, navigating logistics of money and life, learning how to do normal things that high class women wouldn’t know how to do, dealing with grief & ptsd

If you’re a North American reading this thread, both of these stores are pretty comparable to Michael’s, although of the two I’d say Spotlight has the better fabric selection.

I read an article recently about Nike loosing out on customers because they were neglecting the physical stores fronts and other brands (like my beloved Hokas) moved in on their turf. I couldn’t help but think of that while I was shopping for fabric in a physical store.

I needed some fabric recently so I travelled further out, beyond the scavenged corpse of my usual Lincraft, & went to Spotlight instead. I will always prefer a physical store over an online store for craft supplies. I can touch the fabric, ask questions, take it home that day & not pay for shipping

Lincraft is closing their physical stores and going fully online but their online store sucks! The system for buying embroidery thread is a pain in the butt and when I’ve tried I have to wait 1-2 weeks and I don’t even get all my thread, they end up refunding some of it! Not the best business plan

Wow. LOISH got accused of using Ai to make her art. I started following her on early deviantart. I remember first seeing her paintings in college. This is ridiculous, no one is safe. Artists Ive followed for actual decades are getting harassed because their work has been stolen and regurgitated.

I also told Juan that House and Wilson are secret boyfriends and that’s why they pretend to like women so much, to hide it. I’ve been re-watching House as a background show while I draw and man oh man I miss shows having such long seasons! There was an episode that I thought was a season finale but I was only halfway through the first season, incredible.
