doing some design experiments for what a redesigned woot editor could look like

an editor for wafrn posts, going from top-left to bottom-right:

an "Article" button that houses options for the post, like the post type, behind a dropdown. On the right side of the same line there's a Language and Content-Warning button.

Below, two lines:

Shown To: Followers-only

followed by the main post textbox.
below that, the Tags input field, with tags represented by chips in-line within the textbox where tags are inputted.

next, an upload button and a quote button on the left. on the right, a circular indicator for how much text space is used up, followed by a send button, and a downward-facing arrow icon for a send-post context menu.

go as balls-to-the-wall completely nuts as you want. We generally don't crop images, only letterboxing them. on the ATProto/Bluesky end they'll be crunched down and cropped though. The attached guide should still be up-to-date for that AFAIK

The Bluesky Crop Aspect Ratio guide. It shows how any amount of images is cropped to what aspect ratios.
