Recently, I was given my late grandfather's book press after I bound my own sketchbook. He mostly bound magazines he collected, which might explain the massive size. Book and banana for scale.

Another bad summer. Struggling physically and mentally, with outside and internal sources pushing me down. But hey, I'm alive, somehow still clean, and I travelled by plane alone for the first time.

The oldest house in my town is a black painted former library. An antique bookstore in my town is called svartar bækur, or black books, is moving to said house. I don't think this could be more appropriate, and I'm excited to see how everything turns out.

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

Something a lil' different. It's from my world building, my pathetic, pointy eared son, and weird dog things that want to eat you.

Tomorrow will be one year since we said goodbye to old man Máni. I've never met a dog as patient and loving. A 40kg lapdog and a personal weighted blanket. He'd crush your bones and cut off your air supply, but you'd suffocate listening to his gentle snores and knowing you were loved.
