Oregon football 🤝 Mariners baseball Pretty much having the same type of season.

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

The Blazers broadcast though looked like a cheap, lower-quality production compared to where it’s been in previous years. Nothing that the current crew can do about it. But this did not feel like a level that’s worthy of a professional sports franchise worth $4 billion.

I don’t expect the Blazers’ offense to be an issue. Their shooting is gonna be better and they’ve got enough scorers. Defensively, who knows. Timelord and Clingan are gonna have to dominate the paint. Tou and Jrue will have to make up for everyone else. But should be an exciting year!

Jeremy Sochan is Matisse Thybulle.

I already like Micah over Vit, and he’s played one minute.

Deni begging for a challenge in a preseason game. We’re back.

0150

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

No Brooke and Michael for the halftime show ain’t great. The cheapness is showing through.

1171

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Not totally confident in having Sidy and Vit as your primary backups at the wings behind Deni and Tou. Blazers gonna eventually have to find a way to improve that position. This guard depth though is insane. Jrue, Scoot, Dame and Ja is a luxury and they can all create.

050

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Very impressed with how Dame is moving after that injury and all the time off. Good to see him back. Gonna take some time to figure out how Ja fits into the offense and where he’ll get his, but I like his energy. Timelord is gonna play a big role. He brings so much that this team needs.

Damian Lillard is back tonight in a Portland Trail Blazers uniform.

Promising start by the Oregon D. Should’ve gotten off the field on that 3rd and 12 but the two sacks are reaaal nice.

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Boise State is a top 25 team. And they’ll be there in the mix at the end again. Ducks gotta be better next week.

050

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

1 rush attempt for 2 yards in the first quarter. Do better, Mehringer.

000

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Kinda the same as last season where the Ducks got pass happy at times and struggled to score. Gotta run the ball to set up the pass.

020

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Oregon looks nervous and an underdog Boise State isn’t a team you want to open a season against.

040

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Gotta throw it past the sticks on 4th down. Oh boy..

Plus, this team built a cool connection with the fans and city from the get-go. Seemed like the players genuinely wanted to get to know the city, posted a lot about them exploring Portland. Fun team to root for. Their game day experience at the RG had good vibes too. Overall, a success.

Hell of a debut season for the Fire. They need more talent obviously. Carla and Bridget are two nice pillars to build around. Meg and Emily are good role players to have. Hopefully SAB gets healthy. Lot of young talent got better. V interested in the lottery and how they improve the team depth.

Big downfall for En*s Kant*r. Embarrassing to see what he’s become.

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

Yeah, it’s definitely an overall culture issue here. It’s less about pleasing customers, making things affordable, making sure people are able to enjoy things in life … and more about how to squeeze every dollar and cent out of people.

The NBA seems to make it less and less about its fans and paying customers, and more about how to make their owners richer.

Saw the Mariners celebrated their 50th season by putting together a top 50 players list. Feels like a missed opportunity that the Blazers didn’t do this for their 50th season.

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

Hell of a comeback by the Fire. Showed a lot of heart against the best team in the league without their leader. Happy to see they can hang with the Lynx.

Goodbye Lloyd Center 👋 A lot of childhood memories, riding the 70 bus there every summer. Bought a $5 movie ticket to spend all day at the theater, then to play at the arcade, listen to music at Sam Goody and to just hang out with friends. Shame it couldn’t stay what it was.

Nothing better than having a regular group that you can play pickup hoops with. The community and the bond, while trading off between being competitors or teammates at anytime. One of the best things in life to enjoy.

070

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 07/08/2026

The Fire let off the gas and sent in their third string way too early.

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

Asking Blazers fans to show up to support the team after everything they’ve done under Dundon’s watch? That’s a bold strategy, Cotton. Let’s see if it pays off for ‘em.

Another non-shooter for the Blazers. But Sochan has some good vibes, I think.

The Fire play with something extra against the Fever.

1100

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

The one thing that scares me is it feels like Dundon won’t budge an inch in any negotiation. And if it’s more than just the arena, then who knows where this will get dragged out to. Doesn’t sound too great.

Holding our breathe with Portland City Council meetings now.

120

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

There’s lot of challenges, obviously. And there’s lots that can be better. But Portland’s charm and weirdness never left. You can choose between city, suburb or country life easily. Just gotta hope to build on what makes this area special. Sucks to see some folks spew negatives all the time.

0110

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

You got wine country. The coffee scene is still elite. Timbers and Thorns games are electric. Hops built a new stadium. The Cascade had soldout games. Pickles and Remix games are a blast. The Fire have unbelievable support. And we’ll always love the Blazers. Fans love their sports here.

2120

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

Is Portland perfect? No. But what’s great is the restaurant scene is still incredible. Walk Hawthorne, Division and NW 23rd, and the energy is still there. The hiking, golf and outdoors are unbeatable. The coast, Gorge and mountains still make for awesome day trips. This area is still special.

Especially when you consider the arena is named after a health insurance company …

0150

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 26/07/2026

If true, offering a 60% pay cut is insane. AND no benefits, travel or an analyst? This is who the “Blazers” are now?

2283

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 24/07/2026

Do the Blazers know two-way players don’t always have to be guards?

080

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

Bruce gone too?! Just another completely tone deaf move and being unaware of what Bruce brings and his craft of being one of the best photogs in the biz.

3171

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

The sign of a great announcing team is not only being the voice for iconic moments, but keeping fans engaged in tough times. Kevin Calabro is a pro, and was still selling the product the Blazers put out there and had us all tuning in during the obvious tank era. Tough to see him go.

0272

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 22/07/2026

This is on Jody too for doing this to the Blazers.

2351

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 22/07/2026

I don’t even recognize what the Blazers are anymore. Winning is obviously the top priority, but what makes the Portland franchise special is how connected the community is with the team and its staff. Dundon has blown that up.

2416

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 20/07/2026

Negotiations happen. But hopeful the city of Portland and the Blazers are acting in good faith, and both sides want to get a deal done. Devastation isn’t a big enough word to describe how it’d feel to lose the Blazers.

3191

Alex Tam 譚汶材 @alexctam.bsky.social · 06/07/2026

Really hopeful the Blazers have another big move left to bring in some wings. If not, then … I dunno how this is gonna work.
