My orange babies had their Elizabethan cones taken off a few days ago. They're fixed and have all of their boosters. When they were abandoned on our doorstep they were covered in so many fleas, had no energy, and so tiny. Now they're healthy, clean, and full of chaos. They fear nothing.

I should be adding to my fantasy WIP. Instead, I'm down a six-hour rabbit hole about the Knights Templar because my husband mentioned how they took vows of celibacy. I knew immediately that there was no way they stuck to that (shockingly, they didn't - or weren't near the end).

Since deleting social media from my phone I've finish a lot. Four chapters of pure alien smut has been written. The first fantasy WIP that will kick off a massive book series has been outlined. That fantasy world now has some very solid worldbuilding with a magic system, map, and cultures.

I'm learning how to use Blender so I can make animations for the creatures in the first sci-fi horror book I've written. I already respected 3D artists. Now, the respect has quadrupled.

Editing is an oddly satisfying process for me. There are sections of the story where I can see I'm working out an idea because I didn't see the entire thing clearly. To know how those ideas evolved gives me butterflies.

I love writing fantasy romance because I get to balance between the two. However, with the fantasy aspect I overwrite, when I get to the romance parts, I want to jump through scenes just to get to the point because I know what's going to happen. The characters know. The reader does not.
