As a resident, I’m extremely pleased about this. There is a main road in Chepstow where it’s dangerous to cross. As a pedestrian it feels noticeably safer with cars travelling at a slower speed. We need to prioritise people and the planet. @paulmatthews67.bsky.social

As a school Governing Body, we have developed our programme of professional learning alongside and complementary to the excellent opportunities that the EAS provides. This enables us to develop our understanding of and explore things that are important to us as a school. 1/3

An enlightening listen which hints at important questions for Welsh in education today and tomorrow, such as 'why doesn't education currently create Welsh speakers/users?' and 'to what extent can the education system alone create new speakers?' A pod on Welsh in education could be a neat follow up

An interesting paper on implicit/explicit language attitudes to Welsh, with a suggestion that there is a link between higher/early exposure to Welsh (from primary school age) and more favourable implicit attitudes to the language.

This is a really lovely set of stories about late immersion in Casnewydd / Newport. We tend to think of parents making a choice of school language at 3 or 4, but there are plenty of opportunities for children to join Welsh language education at older ages www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGnv...

@willhaycardiff.bsky.social Absolutely loving the #ForWalesSeeWales podcast. The recent pod on Welshness and Mel's perspective in particular was fascinating (but saddening). I've struggled with Welshness having been brought up in South East Wales and learning Welsh as a second language. (1/2)
