The four girls stand together, tiered downwards. Marina is at the top, just below her is Cordelia, then Perdita, and finally Ophelia (Buns) right at the bottom. They stand within a mustard yellow triangle, which colour matches the flowers in the background which are made up of ones which have appeared in all the girls individual portraits.

~ I have loved this week, and just adore them all and highlighting their differences as well as how they make a whole. My dearest, darling bunnygirls <3

And last, but by no way, shape or form, least ~

Approaching Marina with florals was oddly difficult, as it might be a natural aesthetic for my other darling bunnygirls, but dear dear Marina is not a floral girly. In the end a muted colour pallet really worked for her. Lowered the contrast and saturation on the flowers, and then increased the darkness. It turned a vibrant bunch of flowers into ones which looked like they were fading, especially after a cheeky play in colour balance!

Grey tones just seem to suit her, not just because of her red and black go-to colours, but because of who she is. Marina collects power, aiming to be the most powerful *anything* that has ever existed ~ and to achieve that, she walks in the grey. Not good or evil, malicious or nice. To become everything she currently lives in the spaces between, partly to hide her intentions, with it also serving to find what others happened. A life in the grey and shadows is not a bad thing, at least in her mind. For all of that and more I love her; and love to write her.

She is beauty, she is grace… There is no punchline, Cordelia is the best of my darling girls.

Most might see Cordelia as quiet, but instead she is simply thoughtful. Considerate of others but also of herself, she takes her time before coming to conclusions or making decisions. After all, she needs time to gather information and consider all the elements at play! Writing her is a joy, especially as it can be multiple paragraphs of deep contemplation, ending in something that is simple by profound (well, as profound as I am capable of making her!).

With her portrait, I wanted to bring the autumnal colours in which have become her palette. She is very of the Earth, and I always see her as magical, despite is being more learned than innate. With the plants and flowers I wanted to stay true to the colours of autumn, with a mixture of wildflowers and some which are created; she would be one to cross pollinate and make her own.

Kept the pose very simple, maybe she is looking off at the horizons? She is happy to take her time learning, especially as learning is her one true passion. Her adventures across Eorzea is someone enjoying the story and finding secrets, to discover for the sake of discovery, and meet those who might solve a riddle she didn’t even know she was contemplating.

Approaching a portrait of Perdita probably should have felt more like approaching a self portrait ~ as she has somewhat developed into my self insert. All my characters have parts of myself in them, too many most likely with the darker themes, but with Perdita is less of a game to spot the inserts and more the differences.

And that was how I ended up with this portrait of her. In my dark place I either run from it and run into it ~ escaping through stories I tell or consume. With Perdita I like the idea that she has learned how to self sooth, so have given her my childhood habit of sucking her thumb for comfort. And I might stim of plushes and blankets, but she has these big soft ears which felt perfect for that.

Portrait shows her stood with her knees together, thumb in her mouth and one hand stroking her own ear. Lots of ginger hair falls around her, and she is covered from head to toe in freckles. They show through the mesh top, which is a mixture of witchy and gothic, and she wears gold chains around her neck and waist. The skirt she is wearing is far too short to be appropriate.

Behind her is a red square, which frames her body. Part of her arm and a lot of her hair is breaking past the edges, and beyond that is a brown-orange background which emulates the backgrounds you see in portraits done at school days or in malls. Spilling up from the bottom of the gpose is lots of flowers, with hers being deep reds and coral pinks. They made me think of pomegranates, which felt appropriate.

Also (and this isn’t important but is to me) her boobs like slightly too big in this, and that is upsetting to me… And yes (again not important but does make me laugh), i basically own and wear this whole outfit… ANYWAYS ~

Got a fun week planned after being offline! Sharing marching portraits of my OC’s throughout the week, starting of course with Buns ~ seeing as she started all of this, and this is more her account than mine 🤭

As much as I love to torture her and make her suffer, Buns is my dearest and darlingest girl, and wanted to capture her joy. Even when I’ve sent her to the pits of hell she always finds friends and love and beauty and wonder ~ so wanted that to be her portrait focus.

In her portrait, Buns stands central with a hand to her chest and a bright smile on her face. Eyes wide, she is looking slightly up and out into the distance, with her ears pricked upwards as if she has heard something. Dressed in her classic dancer glamour, it is very much the “base” her which all other versions seem to filter out from ~

~ Posed her on a mint green background, and then added a lot of decorations. Cut out the background into an oval, with parts of her sticking out over the edge. Behind that is a pink background, which has plants and flowers layered over the top of it. Everything is very soft and pastel, with a pink tint to it…

Because she is my goodest pink girl 💗
