iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

One of the requests for Sprout by users is to make it accessible in graphical mode. I'm still not quite sure how to do that, but I think it can be done.

I found a microSD card in my collection that is so old, I think it very well might be one from the era of my original Raspberry Pi (which I think I may have used an adapter for), and it is so slow that a single docker pull took 38 mins.

It's amazing how having a view of the water/city from my desk has made me just background happy. This move was so worth it 😄

The Sprout bootloader is getting a glow-up with a new graphical boot menu (mouse support included :D)

Just saw a post that the first SNL cast member born in the 21st century was hired and I was super excited until I reminded myself I was born in 1999. Now I feel old.

Asking the very important questions to Claude, like “Determine how many abandoned Shoney’s signs there are in the United States”

A Claude Prompt of “Determine how many abandoned Shoney’s signs there are in the United States”

It’s thinking indicator says “Estimating a quantity nobody actually tracks.”

My favorite thing about trying Brightline (Orlando to Miami) is watching the clearly confused travelers who don’t realize you don’t need to line up and board 45 mins for a train.

Claude created the ultimate AppleCare One family plan guide for me: gist.github.com/azenla/4c449... TL;DR, you probably shouldn't get it if you have anyone who isn't immediate family on your Family Sharing, and there are a few other caveats.

However, I am always anxious beforehand still, but mostly due to “is this content the right content” reasons, and not just having attention on me.

Genuine observation: public speaking got way easier for me because being trans in public is already baseline so much mental effort that speaking in front of a crowd/on camera now feels comparatively less hard 😄 I think that doing it a lot has helped too, but when I am on stage I actually feel calm

When I was last in the UK, I toured Parliament. The House of Lords were debating the assisted dying bill, and the tour guide gave me a copy of the same bill paperwork that they give MPs and such. I recently read it again and it was pretty nuanced I thought. But there were lots of amendments raised

I do my slides way ahead of time, try to forget them, then remind myself 24 hours ahead and then just fake it until I make it at the talk and hope for the best 😆 The worst thing I ever did was do a conference with written feedback. Traumatizing. Even when rated highly, it's like reading YT comments
