What are people's recommendations for #selling digital goods? ie. it needs an API to generate/validate license keys and should have transaction pricing (ie. x% of price rather than a monthly fee). @lemonsqueezym.bsky.social finds my business to risky and/or against ToS...

Also, there's always a trade off. - less time spent with kids - less sleep/more stress - less income because you work on a personal project Etc.

Obligatory reminder that there is a bias in what's shared and the last thing you should do is compare yourself to ppl on social media. Everything is carefully curated, looks much more polished than what it actually is and is generally overstated.

I think ours might be aware of it from daycare but don't fully understand that it is something that could play on our TV. We're on Peppa Pig and Puffin Rock, both of which I don't mind.

For all you nerds at the intersection of #tech, #language & #typography, here is a very entertaining talk about the details of plain text, the problems of representing written language in a computer & why the headaches we deal with today date back to the punch card era. youtube.com/watch?v=gd5u...

I'm a little late on this post (I forgot about bluesky...), but #ironviz! Find out what happened when sea shanties met the Internet: public.tableau.com/app/profile/... With huge thanks to @ladataviz.bsky.social for AdvViz and @maf2k.bsky.social @brrosenau.bsky.social @genetis.bsky.social!

The new "Colour Manager for #Tableau" is live for a while now AND it has a #figma plugin now! You can: - edit your preferences.tps with simple drag and drop actions - extract colours form an image - add standard palettes like viridis - export variables to figma with more to come! vizku.nz/cmt/

I had some thoughts about "navigating change" recently. Those apply to any kind of personal or professional change but I'd really like for people who have been in the @tableau ecosystem for a while to give it a read and let me know what they think. vizku.nz/blog/plot-tw...

So...looks like it's about time to focus on something else than the dead, blue bird... And it looks like this grew a lot since I first checked it out months ago!
