Season felt pretty over when Neville was sacked May 25. They went on a run during their easiest stretch of the year under Cassidy, but have shown their true colors post-Leagues Cup. Injuries huge, but the emotional turning point was selling Kelsy and not spending this summer.

Take a commanding 2-0 lead, give away an awful penalty to let SKC back in. Go 3-1 up in the 64th, allow two soft goals in a 9 minute span to make it 3-3. Against one of the worst teams MLS has ever produced. It’s just as bad as losing to Austin and Atlanta at home. #RCTID

I believe tonight was the first time in club history that three homegrown academy graduates (Sulte, Jura, Izoita) made an MLS matchday squad for the Portland Timbers. They had 3 rostered in 2022 (Sulte, Bodily, Ikoba), but those three never made the same matchday squad. #RCTID
