Loose concept/composition scribble of a new Yria painting which I dropped on my P4tre0n yesterday! Always loving the loose sketch stage of a painting where the most important thing is to bring the story across with super fast and loose brush strokes. :>

Kurrukh's are beasts from my comic series MYRE, and one of the most fun for me to draw. I have a lot more ideas for this one. Maybe do a Kurrukh-core? xD You see them in action in MYRE Vol. 2, as well as crops, and an attack panel in my latest post on P atreon! :> www.patreon.com/c/AlectorFen...

Looking forward to display this big canvas print of my dragon ILDAYRAH, which I embellished with high pigmented paint. The colour slaps in RL. :) It will be at the @eurofurence.org art show!

The next collectible card design is finally here. I really wanted to lean into a recurring theme from the series that will become much more important in Vol. 3. I love painting fire! Hope you like it! :} I'll open orders for these really soon! They'll become part of my Patreon reward for tokens.

Here is another Yria commission, this time for Terralux and his wonderful dragon character, whom we imagined as a collector of both treasures and knowledge.

And thanks to the work with my co-author @khaki.dog we honed the idea of making them stand out even more. The women in Myre are leaders, fighters, and heroines in their own ways, even the ones who may not seem friendly at first glance.

Alector @alector.bsky.social · 09/03/2026

Strong women have always been at the heart of Myre’s story. Over time, they became leaders and fighters, holding their ground in a harsh and unforgiving landscape.

Both Sarya and Myre being in a dire situation together made me think about how many possibilities there are to meet people on common ground, even after a disagreement.

One of my favourite little details I added in small panels of MYRE is that landscapes and characters reflect on Sarya's armour. It's my way of immersive storytelling and it's not extra work, but extra love.

Armour, or metals in general, are probably my most favourite material to paint. I often struggle with fabric and flowy things as I can never truly decide which direction I should go. More about the story, high re ( a nude version of this soon) are on my Patreon: www.patreon.com/c/AlectorFen...

Another Yria character commission is complete. :) Yria illustrations feature characters by supporters of Myre, who will see their characters woven into the lore of Yria and the worldbuilding of Myre. It's one of my favourite concepts to bring to life, and also not the first of its kind.

Don't worry about perfection when you capture an idea! One thing that helped me work faster & with confidence is getting ideas on the canvas fast and having fun with it. I scribble roughs for comics without worrying about perfection. The sooner I visualise an idea, the more it can grow in my mind.
