This is the first time in an extremely long time I've enjoyed a live adaptation of Resident Evil to the point I'm not only hoping but looking forward to a sequel.

I guess the rent was due or somethin' cuz I ain't never heard of A.J. Alford til she compared books written by Black authors to people going through the hood, feeling unsafe, clutching they purse, being unable to relate, etc. Fuck her and her books.

I really don't like asking for help, but I'm at the point where I need it. I've been unemployed since December and my benefits ran out. I have a promising job prospect, but I need help bridging the gap if it pans out. Anything helps...even a share.🩷 gofund.me/e45f9421e

YouTube's announcement caused a tiny part me to consider making another TikTok account, but more than likely it'll be digital paperweight again so there's no point in downloading it. plus i find it more enjoyable mindlessly scrolling on Xiaohongshu anyway so i might just post over there instead.

It's cool that this is a thing bc it's showing how much the platform's grown. It sucks that AI's a contributing factor in said growth though.

For a Tumblr challenge that asked for an alternative version of an OC... Sax if Fen hadn't persuaded him to let go of the excess magic & leave the in-between at the end of my story. This version would've been interesting to explore but also very traumatic & I just wanted my happy ever after 🤣🤣

I'm limited to 4 screenshots so I'm sharing the last few screenshots of this lil debate that led to dude saying Lil Kim was never as big as Nicki Minaj or considered one of the best rappers and got ratioed to Hell and back. (i caught the qrt at 78 and counting)

Context before this:
When James asked Marcus who his Queen of Rap was that exceeded Lil Kim in style, creativity, influence and blueprint, Marcus said Nicki Minaj.
When asked for a reason why she was his choice, Marcus says, "When they had their back and forth, Nicki smoked Kim's boots in the booth." which leads to these set of screenshots now:

James: Did she really? What Nicki's diss song to Lil Kim that had better bars than "Black Friday"? Nicki won a popularity contest, but I don't think she's ever outbarred Kim.

*james provide a link to Lil Kim's Black Friday music video*

Marcus: Stupid Hoe or Roman's Revenge

cont.

James: "Stupid Hoe" is a good diss. Still not out-barring Kim on "Black Friday" imo. "Roman wasn't direct enough or had the venom Kim brought.
Also, I'm still not seeing the original style, influence on rappers following her, glass breaking, and trailblazing being greater than Kim.

Marcus: The Japanese influence wasn't original? And in terms of trail blazing, she has literally been the most successful female rapper. No one has been as hot as her for this long.

James: Commercial success is important. Nicki is the biggest female rapper. (Side note, Taylor Swift is technically the biggest female singer.)
Nicki just isn't the trailblazer in the game that Lil Kim was and still is today. Female rap is before Kim and after Kim. That rings true now.

Marcus: Agree to disagree. Kim was never as big a star as Nicki or considered one of the best rappers.

TLDR: Apple is forcing Patreon to remove the "per creation" model in order for their app to stay within their app store. Don't forget! Anyone who signs up via the Apple store based app of Patreon has to pay gigantic fees anyways so I really, truly do not see the point of it. At all.

I've said this before but just because some artists are able to draw BIPOC characters sometimes does not mean that they are "safe" for us to be around. Discernment is good to have, and I don't think I'll ever let that go. The keyword here is "sometimes".
