Picture of rock half in a lake, half on the sand. Text: The Pitch, While vacationing at a remote lakeside cabin, the daughter from a dynasty of eccentric k!llers struggles to shield her new boyfriend from her family’s gruesome legacy, but the sunny lakeside retreat turns deadly when a k!ller from her past turns the camp grounds into hunting grounds.

Picture of lake and trees reflecting in it. Text: the comps, Lights Out by Navessa Allen, Ready or Not (2019), Dating & Dismemberment by A L Brody, The Book of Knives by Lise Haines

Picture of trees. Text: The Opening. I’m pretty sure the guy I matched with is a serial k!ller.

I knew it the moment he picked me up. His hair is combed too straight, his blue button down shirt is overly starched, his khakis pressed with military precision, and his nails neatly trimmed to the quick.

I can almost hear my best friend, Kayla’s voice in my head, ‘It’s find Maddie. He’s a nice guy. Why are you always trying to find the faults?’

It’s not like I’m doing it on purpose, it’s just that I have a type. And I really, really want to get away from my normal type and find a nice guy.

“You look beautiful,” he says as he presents me with a bouquet of flowers.

White lillies. The flower of death.

This slide features character art of Jameson Loxley, the anxious young lord of Caledin. He is a scholar, an artist, and a stuttering mess.
