Why highlight businesses owned by A-specs?

#1: we believe there is value in supporting local businesses! By amplifying shops, vendors, creators, and other professionals in Alberta, we hope to encourage our community, allies, and the wider public to consider buying local.

#2: many lists exist online for other queer-owned businesses here (and around the world) but none for A-spec businesses. This contributes to ongoing erasure of the "A" in 2SLGBTQIA+ and misunderstanding that there aren't many of us out there! By highlighting the unique skills and talents of ace & aro entrepreneurs, we hope to show the diversity of the a-spec umbrella and that we can be found everywhere.
