Loaf has decided the bowl cozy thing for hot bowls is the best thing to lay on.

I've unlocked a new fear in life and it's something I've never once worried about and it's spiders crawling into my pants while in a bathroom. A SPIDER DROPPED FROM THE CEILING IN A PUBLIC BATHROOM AND CRAWLED INTO MY PANTS! I had to take my shoes and pants off in a nasty bathroom and shake them out

Hopefully they will, but right now it's a mental game of "do you jump off the sinking ship or look for a raft".

Nothin like finding out your employer is going out of business and at most when you do find out if you're losing your job or not you will only get two weeks advance notice.

Am i the only one who feels conflicted when throwing out old keyboards? I've been using the same keyboard for almost 10 years and the keys are wearing down and becoming less responsive and it just feels wrong replacing it.

Now that looks like sourdough insides! Last one was super squished and had none of those holes in it

Alaskanian @alaskanian.bsky.social · 29/04/2025

Second sourdough loaf! Changed the recipe from all purpose to bread flour and let it sit a lot longer refrigerated. Previous one tasted almost pretzely to me. Curious how this one turned out.

OoTxMM is so much fun but just so time consuming. What type of settings are you aiming for?

My first attempt at a sourdough loaf!

I never would've noticed or looked for it without this post lol i zoomed hella in like "what pink line"

Did you tell it "we should just be friends"

110

Alaskanian @alaskanian.bsky.social · 16/04/2025

It's definitely gonna be something new. Mine is starting with dark rye flour, and a small amount of "breadmachine" yeast just to give it an extra starting kick.

000

Alaskanian @alaskanian.bsky.social · 15/04/2025

So, something I don't mention is I like to dabble with baking, and right now I'm trying to make a sourdough starter and have zero clue how this is gonna go since they take about a week to form. Wish me luck!

My work has given me a 5 day weekend after working for a week straight. I have no idea what to do with my life for the next 5 days.

To the artsy people who may see this, what is a good introductory screen tablet for someone who wants to do art on the go and has little free time to actually do art?

Arguably one of the best noodle dishes imo

Good morning everyone, hope everyone has a good weekend. Monday is gonna be a stream day since I got a schedule that allows me the chance for consecutive streams. I'm always on the fence about what games to stream that I don't end up chosing something until like 10 minutes before I go live each time

010

Alaskanian @alaskanian.bsky.social · 19/03/2025

Yeahhh, its like ive bought a lot of games that were on sale over the years and touch maybe one or two and just go right back to a game i already play

110

Alaskanian @alaskanian.bsky.social · 18/03/2025

Hope everyone is well this tuesday, i'm gonna try to get a stream in this week on thursday though i cannot promise a time since i have some college work i need to get done prior to that.

It was on this day, that I have realized just how much butter is in Hollandaise sauce recipes online oh my lord. This stuff calls for essentially a FULL cup worth of butter

Hello everyone, sorry for the long bit of inactivity. Things have been hectic in life with trying to figure out irl health stuff. Had some xrays done to try and figure out why i have a lot of hip pain that turned up nothing. So the mystery continues but they gave me something to help with the pain.

Hello everyone, hope you all are doin fine this weekend! I'm just getting caught up on my college assignments which brings me to this question, does anyone have a recommendation for a good quiet keyboard? I've been using the same keyboard for 9 years and it has gotten noisy. Please and thank you.

Anyone else go to thrift stores and just look for things that trigger childhood nostalgia? My most recent one was finding a copy of live action Dudley Do-Right with Brendan fraser

Can't just be me who experiences this, but if your work provides food of any sort do you all eat it just cuz it's there or because work provided it? Work keeps giving us candy and well, having a sweet tooth and constant sweets provided aint a good mix.

Don't you love when you try to tell your landlord something is an issue and they proceed to argue with you instead of acknowledging there is an issue and then get pissy because they gave zero notice they were coming over and you call them out on it.

Hey everyone, I just thought I'd take a moment and apologize for lack of streams I've been able to do lately since it has turned into maybe 1 stream a week as opposed to how it used to be. Life is just getting crazy busy with work and school, and I'm just doin my best to get things done.

I mean this with all the fiber of my being right now. Fuck windows OS. I stepped away for 3 minutes for food and water, and it restarted my PC to apply an update WHILE I WAS WORKING ON A COLLEGE ASSIGNMENT and it hadn't been saved yet. There goes an hour and a half of work.

010

Alaskanian @alaskanian.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

I didn't either until it did. I promptly dumped it into the snow and let it sit for a few minutes and then ran it under water to make sure it wouldnt combust more
