The 3rd and final #beaver site surveyed in the River Otter catchment this week. Upstream of the village of East Budleigh, our monitoring has shown this wetland to significantly reduce downstream peak flows. @exeter.ac.uk

Drone surveys from #beaver wetlands in England. At both sites beavers have created wetland habitat and reduced stormflow. However, one site is in the middle of a city and the other a forest, illustrating the breadth of landscapes where we can seek to implement nature-recovery and provide #NbS.

Performing ‘ctrl alt delete’ on a river...the National Trust led 'Stage 0' project at the Holnicote. The first large-scale attempt to reset a UK river to fully reconnect with the floodplain. One year on the BBC have created a short film summarising the project: m.youtube.com/watch?v=Qp7K...
