Nice one Shaun - I have never knowingly seen a Grasshopper Warbler. As my lifer numbers go up it has to be one for me to add.

Recent of Gillian and I at the Cheviot Hills where we though a river was very suitable for Dippers so we went looking and we weren't left dissapointed. This Dipper gave us 30mins + of wonderful entertainment. #ukbirds #Northumberland #Cheviothills

Proud of my wife Gillian who took first prize for her piece of lace named “Mary” (ironically my Mum’s name) at Dorset County Show on Saturday and also first for her cross stitch picture named “Noah’s sub” (ironically our grandson’s name). #torchonlace #crossstitch

I don’t think the government are to blame as much as the police on the ground. If the police were caught off guard they may not have had enough resources to respond.

Straying from nature but I feel the need. Friends and acquaintances on here - if you are still tweeting onTwitter please think again. Do you really want to support the owner who congratulates a far-right group in Germany on their win. Is that the way we want the world to go?

Wonder if it’s the same one that was by West Cliff’s last year that parked itself by our back packs making it difficult for us to go for a while.

Saw a Clouded Yellow at Lorton Meadows near Lodmoor likewise it wouldn’t keep still - if only there was more cycle paths like it.

First time out birding for 3 weeks while dealing with pre-skin cancer cells on my head (birders wear hats and sun cream!). Best at Lodmoor was the juvenile Bearded Tit with a Sedge Warbler and a Greenshank and Common Sandpiper in the same picture. @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social #ukbirds
A juvenile Bearded Tit on a reed.A juvenile Bearded Tit on a reed with it's back and side of it's face showing nicely.A Greenshank looking left and a Common Sandpiper looking right with other birds up on the bank behind them. A Sedge Warbler very mobile but caught in a rasberry bush.

One of the times the Goodies were filming in the quarries they also came and filmed in the Borough Gardens in Dorchester - I watched on my way home from Boys Brigade. Would have been approx. 56 years ago. Shame he struggled in the latter years.

Agreed but we are also to blame - how much have we all got on devices that require these data centres - we all need to have a massive cull of what we have saved.

To be fair that is unusual - perhaps the person tasked with that job is ill or has a problem. Can you not park at the other end as assume your survey is in the woods. Would be interested in your findings if you can reveal. Good luck.
