Chiesa for Konate = I can’t coach them, i’m out of ideas again. #LFC

I thought #LFC would lose this game back in January when we drew to Burnley as i felt that was Slot’s tipping point. Felt the same about tbe Everton game but we snatched that one.

It’s the hope that kills you. 💯 deserved defeat. Arrived at Old Trafford frightened and that includes Virgil which says it all. That’s on the manager as it has been on repeat all season. He’s too dull for Liverpool and it’s reflected in the football style. #LFC

000

Said it all season. If Slot insists on playing Gravenberch and Gakpo it will cost him his job (i hope it does). Limited choices today but i would have kept Gravenberch dropped and played Rio. The team are instantly frightened & confused because they don’t have a manager. #LFC

It’s not just a loss either, it’s how the loss happened with Diogo and his brother. Nobody in any walk of life just gets over that. The squad’s mental energy will have been completely sapped imo.

You’re tougher than me 😉

000

I’m not surprised this #LFC team have lost 10 league games. Slot has great players at his disposal and they’re all confused week in week out. Tipping point was Burnley at home and that was ages ago.

I think we’ve been absolutely terrible from minute one Dan. Suffocatingly bad.

I’ve been saying it since the start of the season, Slots insistence on starting Gakpo and Gravenberch every single game could cost him his job. #LFC

As soon as #LFC had a setback with Ekitike then the goalkeeper it’s a massive uphill struggle for them mentally. The defence collapses then they lose every second ball. I’ll be amazed if they win this game and felt this in the first half.

000

So #LFC definitely have the personnel for high intensity football.

Burnley at home was the tipping point for Slot. Spurs at home is boiling point. Unacceptable performance & result. #LFC

You’re probably right Mo, it just seems to be at crucial times in the build up play & things break down. (Same could be said for Salah!) However, i’d have Curtis at right back for tomorrow’s game with Dom in midfield so they’re all on the pitch.

Alan Hoey @alanhoey.bsky.social · 06/02/2026

He’s a good technical player but he concedes possession quite a bit at important moments. I also think he’s squad depth only and if the wage figures he’s asking for are correct, they’re too high.

Wirtz needs to sort his final pass out. It was poor against Marseille too. #LFC not at the races again Strange from Virgil blaming others for his mis control.

000

It’s not an unbeaten run anymore, It’s 8 dropped points in the last 4 for #LFC Should have had 6 more at least. Keep switching off and missing chances.

000

Szoboszlai is a brilliant footballer but there’s a complacency to him that he needs to get rid of. The penalty is the perfect example. #LFC

This was a great moment today. Only he can put it in that gap in the PL. #LFC

000

8 points dropped in the last 4 for #LFC Some steel is needed which is minus Gravenberch & Gakpo for me. They have to come out.

000

Gravenberch is a ball watcher #LFC

#LFC have dropped so many stupid points against the dross. It’s as if they expect the opposition to score. I knew Szoboszlai’s pen was a problem before he took it as there was no run up. Just take it properly, we need the points.

000

Disappointing switch off from #LFC today. The poor pass to Kerkez set the wheels in motion.

Alan Hoey @alanhoey.bsky.social · 13/01/2026

I think, based on his tv interview, he’s fuming over Dom’s showboating as it forced them into a different set up he didn’t want to get into.

Alan Hoey @alanhoey.bsky.social · 12/01/2026

I just thought it was a standard FA cup 3rd round performance.

Definitely great with the ball at his feet, it’s when he releases it is the problem for me.

000

Alan Hoey @alanhoey.bsky.social · 08/01/2026

I think he gives the ball away too much Dan. I’m regularly frustrated with him considering his technical ability. Good player but i find him wasteful.

I always think of that quote 😉

000

Amazing what a bit of simple pace and width does. Doesn’t occur to the manager to ever use either.

000

#LFC deserve nothing from that game imo. Turn up from the start and give it your all. That definitely didn’t happen.

000

3 subs needed for the second half. The constant slow sideways passing is suffocating the fans and not the opposition. 💯 Ineffective #LFC

The amount of times Curtis Jones concedes possession never gets mentioned. Multiple times in the last 3 games. #LFC

What was Curtis Jones doing when he went through in added time? He could have walked in the opposite direction with the ball with nobody on him but handed it straight to Spurs. He was terrible tonight. Outrageously poor tonight from #LFC

A delightfully PATHETIC win from #LFC The team is full absolute physical and mental wimps.

000

Looked like he was able to put weight on it as he walked off. Sore in the morning. I thought the tackle was questionable and OTT wrapping both legs around him.

Slot definitely sends #LFC out to play really slowly. Hard work watching that build up play.

I’d understand it more if the 4th story was ‘Liverpool officially have a player on their hands. His name is Hugo Ekitike’

000

Alan Hoey @alanhoey.bsky.social · 14/12/2025

I think it will be if you win today.

000

Alan Hoey @alanhoey.bsky.social · 09/12/2025

If Virgil heads it onto Ekitike’s arm it’s a goal. He does, so they disallow it anyway. Pointless VAR.

Alan Hoey @alanhoey.bsky.social · 08/12/2025

He said he spoke to him twice before Leeds and then during training today. What’s wrong with that? You also have Salah smiling his head off in training and he’s caused absolute mayhem during a crisis. Whilst he was benched he had the face of thunder but once he vented he’s happy as larry.
