For the 6 Coalition years 2016 to 2022, interest rates were below 1.51%. The term deposit rate fell to 0.3%, giving savers with $1,000,000 in the bank an income of $3,000 pa, forcing many senior folks into poverty. Now rates are at the near-ideal 4.6% the liars in the media slam this as ‘vandalism’.

Only once has Australia achieved these four outcomes: inflation, the jobless and interest rates below 4.6%, and GDP growth above 2.0%. That was in the fiscal year ended in June 2026. By falsifying their reports on the economy Australia’s newsrooms are the main cause of collapsing social cohesion.
