Your regular reminder that Indigenous peoples were DISGUSTED by the poor personal hygiene of the early European invaders. We also didn’t have toxic waste in the water/soil/air before colonization. So in my view, the dirt came and continues to come from colonizers & descendants like JD.

In this instance, ask yourself: your ONLY options are Talarico or Paxton. All other desires are moot. Who do you empower to ensure the land/water (first) and the people will not get the most fucked? Then vote and get others to vote. Work for better candidates next go-round. This is how it works.

I entered grade school when the 1978 Indian Child Welfare Act was passed. My mom cried and saying ‘if they don’t change it back, they will never take you away until you graduate.’ Same year saw Native American spiritual practices decriminalized —our ceremonies came out from the underground.

In MN, we have Medical Assistance (MA) that is funded by Medicaid for people who are disabled. If you are employed, MA-EPD (MA for employed people with disabilities) has no income or asset cap, with a sliding scale monthly charge based on income. No copays or deductible.

Depends on what you’re growing. Salad greens don’t like a ton of sunlight—I’ve had success with growing them right next to a building with only morning sunlight. Too much heat and sun, and they bolt (producing a seed head) instead of making leaves. Tomatoes, peppers need full sun, most of the day.

Salad greens are insanely easy to grow. Even indoors with a pretty minimal investment in equipment. Unless you don’t wash your own damn hands, no worries. Look at perennial greens like Strawberry Spinach, Orach, Salad Burnett. Exit the corporate food system any way possible. #growSomeFood #landBack
