I’m currently exploring how to create custom builds of my current board game endeavor. Partly in response to tariffs, partly as potential option for more dedicated players. The glow in the dark resin/black epoxy is pretty sexy if I can get my process refined.

Scrolling through games that are crowdfunding and have a few takeaways: 1. Stop with the dark dystopian future. We’re living in a dystopian present. 2. If you devoted a fraction of your time fighting actual tyranny that you spend pretending to, things would be better. 3. We become what we focus on.

From the perspective of a game designer, more complexity equals more expensive. However, if I spend a lot on a game that gets played a few times before getting offloaded at a loss, was it worth it? I see far more value in a relatively simpler game if the components are top notch.

I'm just so sad about everything. Canada, Mexico, they've been by our side and have helped us for so many years. Even JUST RECENTLY—look at how they showed up for the people of Los Angeles and the wildfires. They didn't have to do that but they did. Good neighbours look out for each other.
