Seeking leaders at every level who prioritize the well-being of Alaskans and respect the dignity of all. I believe in actions over words. Proud Haida, hoping to make my people proud.

American public rejects lifting the Roadless Rule, Alaska timber industry in favor
99% of online public comments oppose a Roadless Rule rescission. The timber industry said it probably won't open up much of the Tongass National Forest to logging.

Before voting, ask every candidate where they stand on reliable ferry service and long-term funding for the Marine Highway. Our votes will help determine its future.

The ferry system is not a luxury it is an essential transportation link connecting our coastal communities with jobs, healthcare, education, family and commerce.

The people we elect as governor and to the Alaska Legislature will have a real say in how our Alaska Marine Highway System is funded and managed.

So this year, I choose hope. I choose to celebrate the good people who quietly make a difference every day. And I choose to believe we can build a kinder, stronger future for our children and grandchildren. Happy Fourth of July. 🇺🇸

To me, Independence Day is about more than fireworks and barbecues. It’s a reminder that we’re always striving to live up to the promise that all people are created equal. We haven’t always gotten it right, but that promise is still worth fighting for.

Then I remind myself that hope is never lost. I believe we can learn from the mistakes of history, choose the common good over division, and stand up for what is right. We owe that to the next generation.

I remember how our nation came together after September 11. We stood united, setting aside our differences because we knew we were stronger together. Sometimes I wonder if we’ve lost that feeling.

On the eve of the Fourth of July, I find myself reflecting on what this holiday truly means. It has always been my favorite holiday I even have several Fourth of July outfits to prove it. But with so much turmoil in our country and around the world, I can’t help but ask: what are we celebrating?

The gas belongs to Alaskans. The question remains the same: How much do Alaskans receive? #akleg

Many Alaskans are tired of watching a succession of bad deals reduce the public share of publicly owned resources. The public share of hydrocarbon value is already far, far below what Alaskans expected when North Slope development began. HB 381 moves in the wrong direction.

It peddles our child’s future cheaply

Gas is a severable resource. Once it is extracted and sold, it is gone forever. It can only be sold once. Every dollar not received by Alaskans today is a dollar that can never be recovered from that same resource tomorrow. And at pennies on the dollars that we are supposed to receive.

Hubby’s post, not on Blue S HB 381 should be rejected. The people of Alaska own the gas. The question is not how many jobs are created, how much financing occurs, how comfortable investors feel, or how attractive a project becomes to lenders. The question is simple: How much do Alaskans receive?

Well alright then… I guess they didn’t like my answer much. Makes you wonder sometimes how these surveys are really being used.
030
Akforever @akforever.bsky.social · 27/05/2026
Then it asked if I would vote to get rid of Ranked Choice Voting I answered no. Immediately after that, the survey ended with a message saying, “For statistical reasons this survey will stop here.”

Interesting experience today. I finally took one of those online political surveys that has been hounding me for days. It first asked if I planned to vote in the Governor and Senate elections I said yes.

As Alaskans struggle with fuel, food, and healthcare costs, the last thing we need is another vanity ballroom project. Calling high gas prices “peanuts” shows how out of touch Washington has become. I want my taxpayer dollars helping families, infrastructure, and communities not stroking egos.

Sad day when the Governor values tax breaks for the proposed Trans-Alaska natural gas pipeline over Alaska’s public servants. The people who keep this state running every day for Alaskans deserve better than being treated as less important than corporate tax breaks.

How humanity has fallen, we hang by a thread of a social media post.

Akforever @akforever.bsky.social · 08/04/2026
Leadership is not about control it’s about caring enough about humanity to do the right thing. Taking responsibility for the people you serve and making decisions that reflect humanity and integrity. Because at the end of the day, doing the right thing should never be optional.

If funding shifts or access is reduced, we will feel it harder than most states. We need to make sure our Alaska delegation hears us loud and clear and puts pressure where it belongs to protect what our families depend on and act in the best interest of all Alaskans.

Here in Alaska, Medicaid isn’t just a safety net, it’s part of the foundation that keeps our healthcare system running, especially for our rural communities, our elders, our kids, and our tribal health systems.
120
Akforever @akforever.bsky.social · 03/04/2026
Nothing has been cut right now, but there are real proposals that could reduce access over time, and while these statements aren’t policy, they do signal intent and that matters.

Akforever @akforever.bsky.social · 03/04/2026
There’s so much to be worried about these days, and hearing the President talk about Medicare and Medicaid in the context of paying for a war in Iran should get all of us paying attention.

This is where I come back to leadership. We need leaders who are steady, who put people first, who are willing to step past party lines and do the hard work of making sure our country and our state stay strong and stable.

Insolvent means a government (or a person) does not have enough money to pay its bills when they are due. It’s not just a big financial word it means real consequences. Delayed payments, cuts to services, uncertainty in things people rely on every day.

We are standing at the edge of something right now in Alaska and I think a lot of us can feel it. We all want a future we can look forward to… for our kids, our grandkids, for the generations coming after us. A future where they can stay here, build a life, and feel secure. #akleg

Alaska can’t afford political gridlock. People come first. 📞 Senator Lisa Murkowski (DC): (202) 224-6665 📞 Senator Dan Sullivan (DC): (202) 224-3004 Call them. Speak up. This matters. If it keeps going it’s going to hurt all Alaskans.
