Max Pechstein, *Fishermen on Lake Garda by Moonlight* (1931). This Expressionist painting depicts fishermen in blue boats under the moonlight. In the center and to the left, four men dressed in blue and black operate two blue vessels on the water. To the left, there is a small blue hut or boathouse with white smoke rising from it. The reflection of the moonlight creates a luminous, yellowish-white path across the grayish-blue water.
