Damn these targeted ads are getting to be too good. Pizza AND huskies??

I never thought I’d live in a time where every week it becomes more embarrassing to be American. I’m sorry Canadian friendos, the US just be crazy lately.

I REALLY miss Thailand though. Being out of the US for a month really brought to the forefront how broken some of our core systems here are in ways that are unlikely to be fixed within our lifetimes. I’ve taken back with me much more enjoyment in being present instead of focusing on past or future.

It’s officially been 6 months since I quit my job and I honestly have no regrets. I’m starting to enjoy personal tech projects again and have so much more mental clarity around the next chapter of my life.

Man staying at the hotel across the street from LVFC main seems like a pretty good option. Personal dog chamber with this cute boyo??

People who make dogs a priority are my favorite type of people! I’m so thankful to constantly meet so many of you!

Today felt nice to get back to doing a lot of my normal things. 90 mins of reading, 30 mins meditation, pawed 3x, BBQ’d dinner, and now grocery shopping. + 2 puppy walks, 2 crate training sessions, working through leave it and anxiety over big dogs. Tomorrow begins structured exercise again!

Oh man, I’m the front runner for a grant for some international travel back to South Asia, here’s to hoping that works out! The foundation said they were deeply touched by my story and just need to wait until the application period closes officially.

Do Therians just get stuck at all those “Verify you are human” checkboxes on websites or how does that work?

Gas prices insane and here I am driving up and down the coast with free charging the entire way. Feels like such a cheat code.

I’m seriously starting to wonder if the phantom Teams ringing noise ever goes away, it’s been two months off work and I still get it once a week or so.

Are any of my moots in Oregon and willing to host a hoosk for an evening next week? Driving through and wouldn’t mind a place to stop/sleep!

Normally I love when dogs recognize they can use little contrasting behaviors to communicate odd things to me, but this is the second time that odd thing has turned out to be terminal cancer. This hasn’t been in any of my pack but is still literally just the worst.

Been just over a month since I left my job and it’s honestly been great. Many, many personal health and fitness improvements. Lots of time hiking and enjoying nature! Read 14 books. Much volunteer work! Started clearing out a few of the acres on my land for dog things. New puppy on the way!

Owning a Tesla is weird. Planning to take a hacksaw to the rear motor in order to reroute coolant flow and bypass an internal coolant passage. Apparently this is just normal, preventative procedure if you don’t want your motor to grenade.

I love that we get good health related stats from our wrist these days. Crazy HRV increase after starting meditation in November and definite resting heart rate decrease from starting back at the gym in mid December. I need to get me some better VO2 Max stats here soon too.

I finally did it, I put in my two weeks at work. I’m super excited to have some personal time to focus on the things most important to me, to work on myself and start my next chapter in life. Where I go from here? I have a few solid ideas but mostly just venturing off into the unknown for a bit.

Started going to the gym again for the first time in like a decade. Does nobody shower at the gym anymore?? In the 6 times I’ve been I’ve never seen a single other person use a shower. Is this a post-covid thing?
