I imagine that Ariel would be right. Garminé would have a moment of weakness, but she'd still be bedbound. Vos would be on the cusp himself, and fold immediately. Failing her diet so soon would ruin her hopes for weight loss, and Vos would feel terrible about it too. Both would then get fatter...

Ariel told Vos not to join Garminé's diet and to support her from the side. So he could hold her accountable. But really she just didn't want him to lose weight for selfish reasons. But what if he did join the diet? Would he ruin Garm's diet? Or would Ariel ruin both? Or would they both succeed?
